摘要： A face shaped molding body of first electrode/solid electrolyte/second electrode composed of first and second electrodes on both the faces of the sold electrolyte layer is adapted to impress DC valve between the first electrode and second electrode in a condition where the solid electrolyte layer is heated to a given operation temperature. Atmosphere poor in oxygen or atmosphere rich in oxygen can be formed, by a gas pump which is selectively capable of discharging or feeding at least oxygen gas from the first atmosphere to the second atmosphere, so that atmosphere suitable for food preservation can be retained or chamber wherein oxygen is likely to be poor at heating can be retained in a condition rich in oxygen. Also, oxygen gas can be exchanged for steam when necessary so that the exchange ratio can be controlled by the controlling of the electrolysis voltage. Further, atmosphere is likely to be controlled, because the transportation amount of the oxygen gas and steam can be weighed by the current amount.

The connecting section includes a hydrogen gas storing vessel.

摘要： The optically pumped semiconductor according to the present invention is an optically pumped semiconductor that is a semiconductor of a perovskite oxide. The optically pumped semiconductor has a composition represented by a general formula: BaZr1-xMxO3-α, where M denotes at least one element selected from trivalent elements, x denotes a numerical value more than 0 but less than 0.8, and α denotes an amount of oxygen deficiency that is a numerical value more than 0 but less than 1.5. The optically pumped semiconductor has a crystal system of a cubic, tetragonal, or orthorhombic crystal. When lattice constants of the crystal system are referred to as a, b, and c, provided that a≦b≦c, conditions that 0.41727 nm≦a, b, c≦0.42716 nm and a/c≧0.98 are satisfied.

Further, in the rolling step, each of the planar electric wires is rolled by plastically deforming the turn portions into circumferentially-extending sections each having a predetermined curvature. Furthermore, a curvature ratio of a radially outermost one of the circumferentially-extending sections is set to be greater than that of a radially innermost one of the same.

摘要： A mixed ionic conductor of the present invention includes a perovskite oxide of Ba, Ce, and In. The perovskite oxide is a crystalline compound expressed by Ba(Ce1-xInx)pO3, where x is 0.4 to 0.6 and p is 1 to 1.02. An electrochemical device of the present invention includes the mixed ionic conductor as a solid electrolyte. In the electrochemical device, electrons generated by an oxidation-reduction reaction are drawn in the thickness direction of the solid electrolyte. With this configuration, the present invention can provide a mixed ionic conductor that has high conductivity and high reliability, and an electrochemical device using the mixed ionic conductor.

摘要： A hydrogen sensor includes a solid electrolyte made of a barium cerium oxide, and a first electrode and a second electrode that are formed on the surface of the solid electrolyte. The first and the second electrodes are made of a material having a catalytic effect with respect to an oxidation reaction of hydrogen and are made of the same material. Thus, the hydrogen sensor can be inexpensive and has good hydrogen selectivity and responsiveness to detection, and thus it is possible to measure hydrogen in a high concentration region.
