    • A utility panel for a dispenser that is mounted to a support structure by a backplate includes opposed lateral legs that extend from a main section to form a receiving channel therebetween. The main section is configured to display any desired physical indicia, such as advertising messages, for viewing by the user of the dispenser, while the lateral sections include retention tabs that are received within guide channels formed between the backplate and the support structure. As the utility panel is attached to the dispenser, the blackplate is received within the receiving channel of the utility panel until the retention tabs are snap-fit into corresponding lock channels provided by the backplate of the dispenser. As such, the utility panel is easily retrofit to a previously-installed dispenser without the use of tools.

    • A pump for use in an inverted dispenser is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the liquid pump includes a fluid chamber that has a top portion when in the inverted position and at least one side wall located below the top portion. A liquid intake port extends through the at least one side wall and allows fluid to flow into the fluid chamber. The pump also includes a check valve to prevent fluid from flowing out of the fluid chamber through the fluid intake port that is located in the at least one side wall. Actuation of the liquid pump in a first direction causes fluid to enter the fluid chamber through the fluid intake port and actuation of the liquid pump in a second direction causes liquid to exit the fluid chamber trough the fluid chamber outlet and out of a dispensing outlet. In one embodiment, the check valve is an elastomeric valve. The elastomeric valve may include a top portion to seal of an inlet opening in the top of an existing pump to convert the pump into a pump having an inlet opening below the top of the pump. In another embodiment, the fluid piston in the liquid pump is the check valve that seals off the intake opening from the fluid chamber when the fluid piston is moved past the inlet opening.

    • A counter mounted dispensing system includes a bottle support under a counter and a product container having a collar key. The product container is received by the bottle support and held thereby without the need for relative rotational movement between the product container and the bottle support. The product container thus may have a cross-sectional shape that prohibits the product container from being rotated at the location of receipt, typically due to contact between the container and a wall or the sink basin. An alignment skirt on the bottle support ensures that the product container is properly oriented for receipt, and a release ring in the bottle support engages the collar key on the product container to releasably hold the product container.

    • A dispenser for dispensing a soap product includes a soap pump, a dispensing nozzle, and an expandable and contractible suction chamber. The dispensing nozzle has an outlet for dispensing soap, and the suction chamber is disposed between the soap pump and the dispensing nozzle. The suction chamber is expandable and contractible in volume and is predisposed to an expanded volume. Actuation of the soap pump causes the suction chamber to contract to a contracted volume that is less than the expanded volume to which it is predisposed, and soap is forced through the suction chamber and the dispensing nozzle to the outlet where it is dispensed. Soap that has not been dispensed at the outlet resides in the dispensing nozzle after actuation of the soap pump, and this residual soap is sucked back into the suction chamber during a return of the suction chamber to the expanded volume to which it is predisposed.
