    • The invention discloses a method of treating a zone of a well comprising a wellbore, a tube which is permeable to settable material, said tube forming an annulus with the wellbore; and wherein said zone is located in the annulus, the method comprises the steps of: (i) placing inside said tube a first plug; (ii) creating on said tube a first opening and a second opening, so that: the zone be located between said first and second openings and the first opening be located between said zone and said first plug; (iii) placing inside said tube a second plug, so that said second plug is located between said second opening and said zone; (iv) injecting a settable material inside said tube between said second and first plugs, so that settable material fills the annulus and the zone by passing through the first opening; and (v) eliminating said second plug.

    • An apparatus for repairing a yarn break includes a housing which is first positioned roughly by being guided towards the stop motion wire belonging to the broken warp yarn. After the broken warp yarn has been removed, a fresh separate warp yarn is introduced into the stop wire and a heddle by a pair of laterally slotted threading in tubes. In the process, the fresh warp yarn travels from a blowing opening of one tube into a suction opening in the other tube while passing through an opening in the respective stop motion wire or heddle. During this operation, the tubes are moved stepwise in the warp direction of the weaving machine until reaching a guide inserted through the reed and into which the fresh warp yarn is finally threaded.

    • A weft yarn store (1) for looms (3) stores weft yarn (2), the yarn coming from a package disposed outside the store, on a stationary drum (13) having a first winding zone (135) and a second winding zone (136). While a first winder (12) winds yarn (21) on to a first winding zone (135) so that a yarn supply (21) is permanently available, the second winder (14) intermittently or variably unwinds yarn from the first winding zone towards a second winding zone (136). In a preferred operation of the store (1) together with a loom (3), yarn which is from the second winding zone (136) and which was deposited there by the second winder (14) is picked into the loom. After consumption of this supply and until the termination of the same pick, yarn is unwound directly from the supply in the first winding zone (135) by means of the second winder (14) and supplied to the loom (3) without intermediate storage. The second winder (14) is driven by an electric motor (144) whose operation is controlled by a control facility (15). Picking at low yarn tensions and with accurate metering of weft yarn length is therefore possible.

    • A picking mechanism comprises a flexible picking belt for securing to a belt wheel and made of plastics reinforced by a number of stranded and/or bunched groups of fibers. The fiber groups are disposed in an insert extending over the entire length of the picking belt and surrounded by a layer of plastics constituting the picking belt and free from the fiber in the fiber groups. The picking belt has an end portion remaining outside the winding area of the belt wheel and formed with a web-like raised part. The easily-manufactured, low-weight picking belt prevents exposure of fiber in the fiber group during a long period of operation.
