    • A universal time display includes location indicators, each of which displays the local time of a predetermined location in the world. The location indicator that displays the local time of a user is positioned at the uppermost position of the display. When one of the location indicators is selected, the selected location indicator changes brightness or size so that the selected location indicator is distinguished from the background.

    • Provided are high power PLC optical Tx module and PLC optical Tx/Rx module. The PLC optical Tx/Rx module is located in an OLT of a PON system. The high power PLC optical Tx/Rx module includes a photodiode, a laser diode, an SOA, an optical coupler, and a PLC platform. The photodiode converts an input optical signal into an electrical signal, and the laser diode generates an optical signal of a predetermined wavelength. The SOA amplifies the optical signal generated by the laser diode, and the optical coupler couples optical signals, outputs the coupled signal to a splitter, divides an optical signal from the slitter, and outputs the divided signals to the photodiode. The PLC platform incorporates the photodiode, the laser diode, the SOA, and the optical coupler into one package to allow an optical signal to be output with high power.

    • A method for driving a flat panel display to improve an image quality and a lifetime of the flat panel display is disclosed. The method for driving the flat panel display includes the steps of: a) storing electric-charges contained in a parasitic capacitor of a data line and a pixel-storage capacitor (Cst) in each pixel via a pixel transistor connected to the data line, which enters a floating state during a predetermined time other than a light-emitting time caused by a data-current writing operation, until a current voltage reaches a threshold voltage of the pixel transistor; and b) performing the writing of a data current corresponding to a pixel to be driven by the data line via the pixel transistor, such that the flat panel display emits light.

    • An organic EL device and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The organic EL device comprises a substrate having a first electrode arranged on an active region, at least one organic material layer formed on the first electrode, a second electrode formed on the organic material layer so as to extend to an inactive region of the substrate to allow heat of the device to be dissipated to an outside therethrough, and a seal-cup facing the second electrode while being sealingly connected with the second electrode at a seal line via a sealant. The organic EL device can effectively lower an interior temperature of the device while preventing degradation thereof, thereby remarkably increasing lifetime thereof, and enhance interface stability of the device, thereby remarkably suppressing degradation in characteristics of the device.
