    • A pivot of a lens cover provided between a camera body and a casing is arranged in a space enclosed by a film cartridge chamber, a fixed cylinder of a lens barrel and a finder in the camera body. The front of the film cartridge chamber is thus utilized as a recessed space for the lens cover. Projecting parts are formed on the peripheral surface of the fixed cylinder, and chips are formed at the inner circumference of a drive ring, which is rotatably arranged on the peripheral surface of the fixed cylinder and transmits a rotational force of the motor to the lens cover. The drive ring is mounted on the fixed cylinder with the chips being joined with the projecting parts, and is rotated by a predetermined amount so that the projecting parts can prevent the drive ring from coming off. This eliminates the necessity of adding a member for preventing the drive ring from coming off. A power transmission mechanism in the lens cover driving mechanism is arranged in a conventionally-unused recession between the fixed cylinder and the film cartridge chamber. A cam member for moving the movable lens holding frames of the zoom finder is connected to the lens cover. The lens cover is opened and closed by a driving force of the cam member. This eliminates the necessity of providing a special mechanism for driving the lens cover. One motor drives the lens cover and the movable lens holding frames of the zoom finder.

    • Provided is a camera capable of achieving a simplification of an assembly process thereof. The camera comprises a camera body, a gear system for driving a movable barrel of a zoom lens, and a flash tube for illuminating a subject. A flash holding plate holding the flash tube is mounted on the camera body. The flash holding plate is configured so as to hold not only the flash tube, but also each gear of the gear system by sandwiching the gear between the flash holding plate and the front face of the camera body. Thereby, the assembly process can become simpler, and the number of components can be reduced.

    • When a switching control on an outer wall of a camera is operated and stopped at a click groove corresponding to a desired aspect ratio (for example, C), a CHP lever moves up together with the switching control, and the displacement of the CHP lever is transmitted to an axis rotating lever via a spring. A rotational stroke of the axis rotating lever is smaller than a moving stroke of the CHP lever. A displacement of the CHP lever exceeding the rotational stroke of the axis rotating lever is absorbed by the deformation of the spring. The axis rotating lever is positioned steadily at one of ends of the stroke by the elastic force induced by the deformation of the spring. As a result, the ends of stroke holes in visual field frame pieces can abut against positioning pins without fail.

    • A rotational driving apparatus with a motor, a worm pressingly fitted to an output shaft of the motor, and a worm wheel meshing with the worm, is provided to output rotation of the motor from the worm wheel via the worm. The apparatus includes support, pressing, plug, and urging members. The support member is placed forming a gap with respect to a tip end of the worm, and includes a through hole positioned on a same axis as the worm. The pressing member is inserted into the through hole, and protrudes from a tip end of the through hole to butt against a tip end face of the worm. The plug member is fitted into the through hole to close the through hole, in which its fitting degree into the through hole is adjustable. The urging member is interposed between the pressing member and the plug member to urge the pressing member toward the worm.
