    • A disk drive is disclosed comprising a head actuated over a disk comprising a plurality of non-circular servo tracks for defining a plurality of substantially circular tracks. Each non-circular servo track comprises a plurality of servo sectors defining a plurality of servo wedges. The head is positioned at a first offset relative to a first circular track and a relationship of servo bursts for each servo wedge is first generated. The head is positioned at a second offset relative to the first circular track and the relationship of the servo bursts for each servo wedge is second generated. For each servo wedge, a selection is made between the first generated relationship at the first offset and the second generated relationship at the second offset, and the servo bursts at the selected offset are evaluated to generate a track squeeze indicator.

    • A disk drive comprises a track follow control system having a plurality of selectable frequency modes, the track follow control system configured to receive a position error signal and to output a control signal based on the position error signal, wherein the control signal is used by a head assembly to position a head over a disk. The disk drive also comprises a state estimator configured to receive the control signal and a position signal indicating a position of the head, to estimate a disturbance based on the control signal and the position signal, and to output an estimated disturbance signal based on the estimated disturbance.     • A disk drive comprising a moveable head, a disk, and a servo controller that implements servo control techniques to preserve PES continuity during track following operations is disclosed. The disk includes a plurality of tracks in which a substantial majority of the tracks include a plurality of servo sectors having a plurality of servo bursts that are utilized in track following operations. The servo controller controls track following operations with the moveable head and implements operations to preserve PES continuity during track following. These operations include: dividing tracks of the disk into a plurality of zones wherein each zone includes zone boundaries; and utilizing a PES equation for each zone to generate a PES value based upon read servo bursts wherein each zone PES equation includes a normalizing factor to account for boundary conditions associated with zone boundaries to preserve PES value continuity between zones.

    • An isolated flyback converter having temperature compensation (TC) uses primary side sensing and an output diode, the output diode having a variable voltage drop related to its temperature. A feedback voltage VFB, proportional to the output voltage VOUT, in a feedback loop is compared to a fixed reference voltage VREF for setting a duty cycle of a power switch, wherein VFB is caused to approximately equal VREF. A TC circuit has a voltage source configured to generate a proportional-to-absolute-temperature voltage VPTAT, wherein VPTAT is at approximately VREF at a calibration temperature T0 and rises as a temperature exceeds T0. The voltage source is connected to the VFB node via a TC resistor RTC, so that at T0 no current flows through RTC. Therefore, the selection of the optimal RTC does not affect the selection of a scaling resistance for generating VFB. The current through RTC at elevated temperatures compensates VOUT.

    • An LED (light emitting diode) lighting device with high color rendering index includes a plurality of LED luminous units, wherein one of the LED luminous units has (u′, v′) chromaticity coordinates defined on a 1976CIE chromaticity diagram, a distance between every two coordinate points is not less than 0.01, a distance between at least one of the coordinate points and any other coordinate point is not less than 0.1, and coordinates of at least one of the coordinate points meet a condition that 0.10≦u′≦0.45 and 0.30≦v′≦0.50. By selecting a variety of LEDs within a certain spectral range to mix light, the color rendering index of the LED lighting device with high color rendering index of the present invention can be improved, and simultaneously the cost of the light source can be controlled.
