    • A flywheel device has at least two inertial masses which can rotate relative to one another against the action of elastic elements of a damping device, one of which inertial masses, namely the output-side inertial mass which is farther from a drive system, such as for example the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, is guided both radially and axially by way of a bearing arrangement with respect to the input-side inertial mass. The bearing arrangement has at least one axial plain bearing and one radial plain bearing. Both plain bearings guide the output-side inertial mass with respect to the input-side inertial mass with a clearance, the size of which is determined so that when a wobbling motion is introduced from the crankshaft to the input-side inertial mass, the output-side inertial mass, under the effect of centrifugal forces, can perform a self-stabilization. The radial plain bearing, to bring it as close as possible to the crankshaft, is engaged in the vicinity of the end of the hub of the output-side inertial mass, which end faces the crankshaft.

    • A flywheel device has a first flywheel mass that is drivable and rotates around a rotational axis and a second flywheel mass that can be deflected relative to the first at least by a limited rotational angle. The second flywheel mass is drive-connected to the first flywheel mass by a torsional damping device. At least one flywheel mass has a grease chamber which at least partially accommodates the torsional damping device and is equipped with at least one seal against the escape of viscous medium. A first sealing part of the seal is connected to one of the flywheel masses and a second sealing part of the seal is connected to the other flywheel mass. The second sealing part is arranged in a radially offset manner relative to the first sealing part and has at least two fixed arms extending from an annual base in the direction of the first sealing part. Each of the arms is arranged at a predeterminable distance from the side of the first sealing part that faces it and forms, together with the other respective fixed arm and the base, an annular channel holding a highly-viscous medium. The first sealing part is submerged, at least in its region radially adjacent to the second sealing part, in the highly-viscous medium.

    • A flywheel assembly has a first flywheel which is detachably connected to the crankshaft of a combustion engine, a second flywheel which can be rotated relative to the first, and a torque transformer, such as a hub disc, which is located in a chamber between the two flywheels, which chamber is filled with a viscous medium and which torque transformer is equipped with a torsion damping unit. The chamber is defined on that side facing the second flywheel by a cover plate, which encloses an air channel between it and the second flywheel, which air channel extends radially outward from a ventilation opening in the second flywheel. The torque transformer is provided radially outward from the ventilation opening with an annular surface, which annular surface extends preferably in the axial direction. The cover plate extends with its radially inward end in the radial direction to the annular surface and in the axial direction to the radially outer portion of the torque transformer, whereby the annular surface defines the maximum radial distance from the torque transformer to the ventilation opening for the change of direction of the air channel.
