    • A synchronous counter circuit having a plurality of bit counting stages, each corresponding to a bit position for representing counts, from a least significant bit to a most significant bit. Each bit counting stage includes a flip-flip circuit and a synchronization circuit and each includes circuitry for receiving a pulse train clock signal, synchronously counting said clock signal and outputting an output bit signal corresponding to said counters' stage bit position. The bit counting stages are arranged in two groups, a reset group and a counting group, such that the output bit signal of said flip-flop circuit of the reset group synchronizes data propagation between each bit counting stage of the counting group.

    • Typically, a disc brake the caliper assembly is mounted by a pair of specially configured mounting bolts to a cast-iron steering knuckle. In many models, the bolts are threadingly engaged with a steering knuckle or similar support structure in order to retain the bolts in place. To remove the caliper assembly, the two caliper mounting bolts are removed. However, in many instances, during servicing of the disc brakes, the threads within one of the apertures defined in the steering knuckle become stripped. A caliper mounting replacement bolt is provided having oversized self-tapping threads and an associated aperture for auxiliary retention. The inventive replacement bolt is used in place of the original caliper mounting bolt to enable reinstallation of the brake caliper assembly onto the steering knuckle in a quick and efficient manner. During the installation thereof, the inventive mounting bolt cuts a new thread into the steering knuckle aperture. In addition to the threading engagement with the steering knuckle, auxiliary bolt retention is provided, preferably, via use of a cotter pin.

    • A method for reducing organic contaminants in a well initially breaks down complex organic compounds by radiation with gamma radiation. The remaining materials are subjected to oxygen radicals in the water, the oxygen radicals reacting with the materials to assist in the degradation. A carrier is formed with a plurality of containers fixed together by struts, and each container has a quantity of radioactive material to provide the radiation. Air, oxygen and or peroxide may be fed to the well to provide enough oxygen to produce the oxygen radicals, or the water may be cavitated to free the oxygen in the water.The apparatus & method may also be adapted with proper shielding for use in surface applications, such as surface water intakes (biofouling by Asiatic clams), general ground water and haz-waste treatment.

    • A device for full depth hand routing characterized by a two piece base including a foot block and an attachment block, the attachment block being held to the foot block by a connector bolt and two adjusting screws to enable attaining parallel planes for a tool in the base of the block; a cantilevered holder extending from the attachment block; a tool on a shaft that is powered by a motor within a housing that has a substantially cylindrical barrel and a protruding threaded male part threaded engaging a threaded aperture on the cantilevered holder; an indicator scale around the base of the barrel and above the threads; and indicator carried by the attachment block and extending upwardly adjacent the depth scale such that accurate depth positions can be attained for routing to a desired depth. In a preferred embodiment, the cantilevered holder comprises a ring that allows 270.degree. visibility about the routing tool. Also in the preferred embodiment, the foot block has an upstanding flange at 90.degree. and the attachment block is held cantilevered from the upstanding flange by the connector bolt in a slot. The base block has rounded sides for traversing an irregularly shaped object such as an aircraft wing for attaining full depth routing.
