    • A periodic process timer is incorporated into a multi-tasking operating system of an automatic call distributor system. The process timing method includes the steps of: a) initializing a plurality of accumulator values corresponding to a single process of a plurality of processes, each accumulator value defined to represent a total processing time for each process; b) recording a starting value of a counter device; c) activating the counter device prior to execution of a selected process; d) permitting the selected process to execute; e) stopping the counter device after execution of the selected process; f) reading and ending value of the counter device; g) determining a difference value between the starting value and the ending value in the counter device; h) adding the difference value of the counter device to the accumulator value corresponding to the selected process; i) continuously repeating steps (b) through (h) until a predetermined amount of time has elapsed, to obtain a total accumulator value representing the total processing time for each selected process; and j) saving the accumulator values for each selected process.

    • A portable promotional content and interface apparatus (200) comprises a housing (201) that houses a memory (203) and a control circuit (202). This memory comprises, at least in part, a hidden digital storage area (204). The memory stores encrypted digital end-user promotional content and the hidden digital storage area stores the corresponding encryption key(s). The control circuit operably couples to this memory and also to a computational-platform interface (206) (such as, but not limited to, a USB plug). So configured, the control circuit interfaces with an end user's computational platform (301) via this computational-platform interface. Via that connection, the control circuit then serves to confirm a pre-established right for the end user to experience the stored end-user promotional content and to use the encryption key(s) to facilitate the end user experiencing that digital end-user promotional content through the end-user computational platform upon confirming that pre-established right.

The system and method also position the first and second shape objects with respect to a reference surface and assign non-numeric objects to each of the plurality of identified non-numeric elements in the selected portion of the source data. Further, the system and method also position the non-numeric objects with respect to the reference surface for facilitating maintaining the context of the numerical elements for the numerical objects, such that the objects and reference surface are configurable for subsequent display as transformed data or storage in a storage for later retrieval.

    • A description is given of a method for the analysis and/or monitoring of the partial discharge behavior of an electrical operating means, in particular in terms of its development over time. Here, appropriate partial discharge data is recorded in process state matrices (2, 3), in which, in each case in a matrix element (5) of the process state matrix (1), the amplitude (7) of a partial discharge, its phase angle (6) and its frequency of occurrence is depicted (in particular what is known as a PRPD representation). A simplified analysis is made possible by the fact that, at a first time, a partial discharge process state is registered in a first process state matrix (2) and, at a later time, a further partial discharge process state is registered in a further process state matrix (3). Then, for the purpose of analysis and/or monitoring, the first (2) and the second (3) process state matrix are compared with the aid of comparison and scaling methods.
