    • Method and devices intended to be used at sensing of breathing of a man or an animal in order to with a breathing sensor securely sense the breathing regardless of whether it occurs through the nose or mouth. A device (1) conducts breathing air flows to and from the nose as well as the mouth past a position (5), at which the sensor is located. In one embodiment the device is tubular and has two orifices (2, 3) for location at the nose and mouth respectively, as well as a third orifice (5) onto which a sensor may be fastened by snap action.

    • A process is provided for forming a material comprising an M3X1Z2 phase comprising the steps of: (a) providing a mixture of (i) at least one transition metal species, (ii) at least one co-metal species selected from the group consisting of aluminum species, germanium species and silicon species, and (iii) at least one non-metal species selected from the group consisting of boron species, carbon species and nitrogen species; (b) heating said mixture to a temperature of about 1000° C. to about 1800° C., in an atmosphere within a substantially enclosed heating zone, for a time sufficient to form said M3X1Z2 phase; wherein the atmosphere has an O2 partial pressure of no greater than about 1×10−6 atm. The process provides a substantially single phase material comprising very little MZx-phase. A process for preparing a dense, substantially single-phase M3X1Z2 phase workpiece includes providing a highly-pure M3X1Z2-phase powder pre-form and sintering said pre-form at a temperature of about 1000° C. to about 1800° C., in an atmosphere within a substantially enclosed heating zone, for a time sufficient to form a dense, substantially single-phase, M3X1Z2-phase workpiece; wherein the atmosphere has an O2 partial pressure of no greater than about 1×10−6 atm.

    • A linear actuator is presented, having a drive shaft, a transmission connected to the drive shaft, and a spindle connected to the transmission. The drive shaft, the transmission and the spindle are connected in such a way that a rotational movement of the drive shaft is transmitted to the spindle via the transmission. The linear actuator also has a spindle nut arranged rotationally prevented onto the spindle, and an end stop detection unit for detecting that the spindle nut reaches an end position on the spindle. The end stop detection unit comprises an end stop detection shaft connected to the transmission in such a way that a rotational movement of the spindle is transmitted to the end stop detection shaft such that a rotational movement of the spindle is reflected by a rotational movement of the end stop detection shaft.

    • The present invention relates to a method for controlling operation of an electric motor in a height-adjustable furniture arrangement, wherein operation of the electric motor provides a height-adjusting function in the height-adjustable furniture arrangement. The method comprises the steps of providing, by a power supply unit connected to the electric motor, an incoming power comprising an incoming current and an incoming voltage, transforming the incoming current and the incoming voltage to a motor supply current and a motor supply voltage supplied to the electric motor, measuring load on the electric motor, and when the measured load requires a current higher than the incoming current for providing the height-adjusting function, setting the levels of the motor supply current and/or the motor supply voltage such that the motor supply current is higher than the incoming current and the motor supply voltage is lower than the incoming voltage.
