摘要： A multichannel display data generating apparatus for generating data for displaying AV data on a multiscreen has a plurality of screens for displaying AV data of a plurality of channels, said apparatus comprising: input means for inputting AV data of a plurality of channels being transferred using a transport packet of a transport stream; a smaller number of PCR extracting means for extracting in a time-sharing mode the PCR of a plurality of channels displayed on said plurality of screens than the number of said plurality of screens; the same number of PLL means for establishing PLL synchronization by using said extracted PCR as the number of said plurality of screens; the same number of STC (system time clock) counter means for counting the times of the channels displayed on said plurality of screens by using the oscillation frequency of said PLL means as the number of said plurality of screens; AV decoding means for AV-decoding the AV data of the channels displayed on said multiscreen in AV synchronization with said STC counter means; and output means for outputting said AV-decoded AV data; and wherein said output AV data is displayed on said multiscreen.

The invention provides a computer which comprises a system section 12 and an application software section 13, and which takes in copyright claimed, encrypted data via a digital interface 1 for processing therein, wherein the system section 12 judges that the application software section 13 is legitimate application software for the protection of copyright, and if the application software is a legitimate one, the system section 12 passes a key for the encrypted data to the application software section 13.

摘要： It is objected to simplify a procedure concerning bandwidth acquisition. Bandwidth acquiring means 809 of a second transmitting apparatus 814 acquires a bandwidth which was used by a first transmitting apparatus 806 by using a propagation delay identifier804 read from first transmitting apparatus 806 and a maximum transmission data size 805 after stopping transmission of first transmitting apparatus 806. Each apparatus is composed so that transmission is started using this bandwidth and because returning and re-acquisition are not accompanied when the transmission is switched, necessary procedure can be simplified. Further, it is possible to effectively use the bandwidth by using a propagation delay identifier.

摘要： A data transmitting and receiving method for improving transmission and reception efficiency can be obtained by improving the security through update of a control key and reduction of the frequency of the authentication and key exchange process. An STB 1 transmits encrypted digital data Kw (D) obtained by encrypting digital data D using a work key Kw, and an encrypted work key Kc (Kw) obtained by encrypting the Kw using a control key Kc. The Kc is periodically or non-periodically updated, and an identifier L identifying the Kc is assigned to each Kc. A VTR device 2 decrypts the received Kc (Kw) using the Kc obtained by performing the authentication and key exchange process with the STB 1, decrypts the Kw (D) received using the Kw to obtain the D. It is determined whether or not the Kc has been updated while the reception process is suspended by referring to the transmitted L when the reception process is suspended and then resumed. If it is determined that the Kc has been updated, then the authentication and key exchange process is performed again to obtain the updated Kc.
