摘要： An object of this invention is to provide an adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance, which adsorbent can highly efficiently and selectively adsorb an excessive immunosuppressive substance directly from the body fluid, can carry out extracorporeal perfusion safely and can be utilized in treatment of cancer. Such an excessive immunosuppressive substance may be involved in growth of cancer cells. An adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance of the invention includes a water-insoluble carrier and a hydrophilic amino group immobilized to the water-insoluble carrier. An extracorporeal perfusion column of the invention contains the adsorbent of the invention. A method for treating cancer of the invention carries out extracorporeal perfusion using the extracorporeal perfusion column of the invention.

摘要： An antifouling structure in contact with seawater or at least its surface layer is made up of a beryllium copper alloy having a beryllium content lying in the range of 0.2% by weight to 2.8% by weight. While this antifouling structure is immersed in seawater, a beryllium or copper oxide film is formed on the surface layer of the beryllium copper alloy mother material and beryllium or copper ions are liberated from the exposed surface layer of the beryllium copper alloy mother material into seawater. As years go by, the beryllium or copper oxide film peels away from the beryllium copper alloy mother material. Due to indeterminate repetition of such peeling, the liberation of beryllium or copper ions from the exposed surface layer of the beryllium copper alloy mother material into seawater is sustained.

摘要： Disclosed are a porous membrane which is made from a material containing, as its main component, a polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and a method of producing a porous membrane comprising forming a hollow or sheet-like film from a mixture of a polytetrafluoroethylene resin dispersion and a fiber-forming polymer, heat-treating the film at a temperature not lower than the melting temperature of the resin, and removing the fiber-forming polymer. Production of polytetrafluoroethylene porous membranes of a variety of pore sizes and porosities is possible by suitably varying the type and amount of additives added to an original liquid. The membrane finds spreading use in the field of separation in high-temperature and strong decomposing or strong dissolving mediums.
