    • A real image type variable magnification viewfinder optical system comprising, in order from the object side, an objective lens system having positive refractive power and an eyepiece lens system having positive refractive power. The objective lens system comprises, in order from the object side, a first lens unit having negative refractive power, a second lens unit having positive refractive power, a third lens unit having positive refractive power and a fourth lens unit having positive refractive power. The second lens unit and the third lens unit are moved, with the first lens unit kept fixed, for performing variation of magnification and adjustment of diopter. This viewfinder optical system can have a high magnification and a large field angle of emergence at a low magnification position thereof, a variable magnification ratio of 2 or higher and favorably corrected aberrations, and be manufactured at a low cost.

    • A catalytic converter for removing noxious pollutants from exhaust gases particularly emitted from an automobile internal combustion engine comprises a housing having a pair of longitudinally spaced catalyst containers mounted therein between inlet and outlet. The housing is constituted by a top housing shell and a bottom housing shell positioned one above the other with respective flanges of the top and bottom housing shells joined together. Each of the catalyst containers is similarly constituted by an upper retainer plate and a lower retainer plate positioned one above the other with respective flanges of the upper and lower retainer plates joined together. The overlapped flanges of the upper and lower retainer plates for each catalyst container are sandwiched between the flanges of the top and bottom housing. A secondary air supply pipe is supported by the housing and projects into the intermediate chamber between the catalyst containers within the housing through the joint of the top and bottom housing shells.

    • A first terminal data processing unit is arranged in an apparel planning division to process first data necessary to plan an apparel goods. A second terminal data processing unit is arranged in a sewing division to process second data necessary to perform a sewing treatment and management of the apparel goods planned by the apparel planning division. A central data processing unit is connected to the first and second terminal data processing units through communication lines, respectively, and is arranged in an information service division to offer the first and second data to the apparel planning division and the sewing division. A database is connected to the central data processing unit to store at least the first and second data. The information service division supplies the second data, read out from the database by the central data processing unit, to the sewing division through the second terminal data processing unit, so that the sewing division can perform a sewing treatment and management of the apparel goods in accordance with electronic data processing.
