    • The fitting for the present invention comprises a fitting main body and a retaining ring, in which the fitting main body comprises an inner core having a plurality of large diameter portions form on the outer circumferetial surface and a flange and having a hole disposed to the circumferential surface of the retaining ring for attracting the retaining ring put over the top end of the plastic pipe to the flange; and the retaining ring, upon attracting operation applied thereto, moves the plastic pipe to the flange accompanying the retaining ring to insert the inner core relatively to the top end of the plastic pipe. The inner core diametrically enlarges the top end portion of the plastic pipe and compresses the top end portion in cooperation with the retaining ring. Therefore, the said fitting can simply and reliably connect the plastic pipe.

    • The invention is directed to an arrangement for controlling a braking force applied to a rear wheel in a certain relationship with a braking force applied to a front wheel, so as to provide an ideal braking force distribution. Pressure control valves are disposed in a hydraulic circuit which communicates a master cylinder with at least a rear wheel cylinder. There are provided an auxiliary power source for discharging a power pressure and a hydraulic booster for regulating the power pressure and actuating the master cylinder. A changeover valve is disposed between the master cylinder and the control valves, and selectively placed in one of a first operating position for communicating the control valves with the master cylinder and blocking the communication between the control valves and the hydraulic booster, and a second operating position for communicating the control valves with the hydraulic booster and blocking the communication between the control valves and the master cylinder. When the changeover valve is placed from the first operating position to the second operating position, the control valves control the hydraulic pressure in the rear wheel cylinder in a certain relationship with the hydraulic pressure in the front wheel cylinder.

    • An intersection warning system provided in a first vehicle, includes a receiving unit receiving information about a running state of a second vehicle near a roadside edge in a sideward or rearward area of the first vehicle, the information being transmitted from a roadside system watching a predetermined watched area through which vehicles approaching an intersection pass, a running state detecting unit detecting a running state of the first vehicle, an estimation unit estimating a relative position relationship between the first and second vehicles in the intersection based on the running state of the first vehicle detected by the running state detecting unit and the information about the running state of the second vehicle received by the receiving unit, and a warning unit issuing a warning to a driver of the first vehicle based on an estimation result obtained by the estimation unit.
