摘要： In the freeze drying method of the present invention, a predetermined amount of water is poured on the refrigerating/heating surface provided in the drying chamber, which surface is cooled to a temperature below 0.degree. C., so that an ice film is formed on the refrigerating/heating surface. After that, while the thus formed ice film is kept at a temperature below 0.degree. C., a liquid material is supplied to the surface of the ice film so that a frozen layer of the liquid material is formed on the surface of the ice film. Under such circumstances, a vacuum is produced in the drying chamber to conduct the freeze drying operation of the frozen material in a vacuum environment.

摘要： The present invention provides a composition for forming a top anti-reflection coating and also provides a pattern formation method employing that composition. The composition prevents pattern failures caused by light reflected in the resist layer in the exposure step, and it further avoids troubles caused by residues produced in the etching step. The composition contains a solvent and fine particles having a mean particle size of 1 to 100 nm. In the pattern formation method of the present invention, a top anti-reflection coating is formed from the composition. The composition and the method according to the present invention can be used to form a composite film composed of a resist layer and a top anti-reflection coating.

摘要： Disclosed is a cell with a power-generating element and an outer package. The power-generating element includes a unit cell layer including a first electrode, a second electrode and an electrolyte layer disposed between the first and second electrodes. 摘要： A relay device using a conductive fluid and having excellent switching response is provided. This relay device mainly comprises a laminate having an interior space, and formed by bonding a semiconductor substrate to an insulating substrate, at least two contacts exposed to the interior space, a diaphragm portion facing the interior space, a conductive fluid sealed in the interior space, and an actuator for elastically deforming the diaphragm portion. By forming the diaphragm portion on the semiconductor substrate, it is possible to reduce a driving force of the actuator needed to elastically deform the diaphragm portion, and obtain a volume change of the interior space with good response. This volume change causes a positional displacement of the conductive fluid in the interior space, thereby forming a conductive state or a non-conductive sate between the contacts.
