摘要： A spline rolling tool including a plurality of forming teeth that are to bite into a cylindrical workpiece so as to roll splines in the workpiece. Each of the forming teeth has an incomplete toothed region in which a crest of each forming tooth is removed such that an upper end of each forming tooth in the incomplete toothed region is defined by an incomplete-toothed region surface that includes a curved surface portion, a flat surface portion and a slant surface portion. The incomplete-toothed region surface is defined at its periphery by a chamfered edge that has a surface roughness of not larger than about 3.2 μm. Also disclosed is a process of manufacturing the spline rolling tool, which includes a chamfering step of forming the chamfered edge by using a wire brush having abrasive grains that are fixed to bristles of the wire brush.

摘要： A spline rolling tool including a plurality of forming teeth that are to bite into a cylindrical workpiece so as to roll splines in the workpiece. 摘要： A steel material of 85 to 95 HRB exhibiting a ratio of area occupied by ferrite of 30% or higher, which steel material comprises given amounts of C, Si, Mn, S, Ti, Cr, Al and B and the balance of iron and unavoidable impurities, is subjected to induction hardening. After the hardening, the surface of the steel material exhibits an Hv value of 640 to 730. When t refers to the effective hardening depth, namely, the distance from the surface to a region exhibiting an Hv value of 392 and r refers to the radius of the steel material, the hardened layer ratio, t/r, is 0.4 or higher.

摘要： A multi-piece solid golf ball having a core, an envelope layer having an inner envelope layer, intermediate envelope layer and outer envelope layer, an intermediate layer, and a cover having a plurality of dimples formed on a surface thereof, arranged in that order. The three envelope layers, intermediate layer and cover are each formed primarily of a resin material of the same or different types. The core is formed primarily of a rubber material, and has a material hardness higher than the core center hardness. One of the inner layers has a material hardness higher than either or both of the cover material hardness and the average core hardness. The golf ball lowers the spin rate on full shots with a driver, increases the distance traveled by the ball, has good controllability, maintains a straight path particularly on full shots, has a good feel on impact and excellent scuff resistance.

摘要： The present invention provides a golf ball having a resilient core made of rubber, a cover of one or more layer encasing the core, and at least one intermediate layer disposed between the core and the cover, wherein the cover is made primarily of polyurethane, the intermediate layer is made primarily of ionomer, and the core has a surface hardness which is higher than the material hardnesses of the cover and the intermediate layer. The golf ball is able to limit the distance of travel more than official balls currently in use and, in spite of being a limited-distance golf ball, imparts a relatively soft and good ball feel on impact, in addition to which it has an excellent scuff resistance and, by minimizing the extent of decrease in the distance traveled by the ball when hit with an iron, minimizes the effect on golf play by amateur golfers.
