The conversion device includes a first perforated plate portion forming a plurality of collimator channels separated by a plurality of thin collimator walls. A second perforated plate portion forming a plurality of scintillator channels separated by a plurality of thin scintillator walls is attached to the first perforated plate portion. A reflective coating is applied to the inside scintillator surface of the plurality of thin scintillator walls. A scintillator material is filled into the plurality of scintillator channels.

The outer insulation surrounds a perimeter of the bare bar and extends along a longitudinal length of the bar. The outer insulation comprises at least one extruded member, e.g., a single extruded member, two individual extruded members, etc., containing an electrical insulation material. The at least one extruded member comprises an opposing pair of edges parallel to the longitudinal length of the bar. The edges are attached together so that the perimeter of the bar is entirely enclosed by the at least one extruded member.

摘要： A mold for molding a core for use in casting hollow parts includes, a lower mold portion and an upper mold portion defining therein a cavity corresponding to the outer surface of the core. The lower mold portion includes a cutout disposed along a parting line defined between the lower mold portion and the upper mold portion and opening onto the cavity. After introduction of a ceramic slurry mixture into the mold the upper mold portion is removable, to expose a first side of the core and a protective flash formed in the cutout. Desirably, a heat shield is positioned over the protective flash and the exposed portion of the parting line of the lower mold portion so that the lower mold portion is not exposed directly to a flame during a preliminary firing to impart sufficient strength to the ceramic core so that the ceramic core may be handled. Providing the core with a protective flash allows the mold to be advantageously fabricated by rapid tooling technique such as by a stereolithography process from a plastic material.

摘要： A method of applying an outer insulation to a bare stator bar to form an insulated stator bar. The method entails extruding at least one extruded member that will form the outer insulation. The extruded member has an opposing pair of edges that are parallel to the longitudinal length of the extruded member. In addition, the extrusion process creates an inner cavity that extends the longitudinal length of the extruded member. A bare stator bar is then inserted into the inner cavity of the outer insulation so that the outer insulation surrounds the perimeter of the bar and extends along a longitudinal length thereof. The opposing pair of edges of the extruded member are then attached together so that the perimeter of the bar is entirely enclosed by the extruded member.

摘要： A method for fabricating an ultrasound transducer structure is disclosed. The method includes performing the steps of forming a functional layer, including an ultrasound transducer material and a photopolymer, and exposing a plurality of selected regions of the functional layer to a programmable light pattern to cure the selected regions of the functional layer to form polymerized ultrasound transducer material regions, repeatedly. The method further includes selectively removing unexposed regions of the functional layer to obtain a green component, and sintering the green component to obtain the sensing structure. A system for making at least one piezoelectric element is also disclosed.
