摘要： A print server and method for forwarding printing data in a network are provided. The print server receives an IP address of a printer and a uniform resource identifier of printing data from a mobile station. The print server determines which printer corresponds to the IP address and forwards the printing data to the printer for printing, thereby allowing a mobile station to print data in remote locations. The mobile station does not have to format the printing data or transmit the formatted printing data, thereby reducing the burden on the operating system and the storage space of the mobile station.

The apparatus includes a multi-fleet dispatch console configured to receive a request for a dispatch group call including dispatch stations in a plurality of fleets and to establish the dispatch group call based upon the request. The multi-fleet dispatch console has a higher priority than any other dispatch console in the network. Multiple terminals will join a PoC multicast group automatically at some point before the underlying PoC session is being initiated and thus before there is any PoC content for a PoC server to multicast to the group members. Further, this joining process will occur without the PoC multicast channel being listed in the terminals' multicast channel listings. Thereafter, when one of the terminals opts to initiate the PoC session and thus signals to the PoC server, the server will cause the participating terminals to tune to the associated PoC multicast channel for the PoC multicast group that the terminals had already joined. The invention thereby helps to effectively randomize the timing of join-signaling by the various terminals and thus helps to conserve network resources.

A preferred embodiment involves determining a set of WCDs that are being served by a plurality of wireless coverage areas that intersect the road. This set of WCDs is narrowed to include only those WCDs that are (1) presumed to be in motion and (2) within a predefined geographic definition of the road. The density and aggregate velocity of the resulting WCDs is determined. From these determinations, the traffic density and aggregate traffic velocity of vehicles on the road can be estimated and an associated output can be provided.
