    • A hammer drill is provided with a clutch whose movable part is firmly connected to an axially displaceable drum which supports a wobbling disc driving a percussive mechanism for striking a work tool. The axially fixed clutch part is rotated by driving motor and is backed-up by a housing of the drill. Retroacting forces from the percussive mechanism are transferred via the drum onto the movable clutch part so that the engagement of the clutch is reinforced at the moment when the compression generated by percussive mechanism is maximum. When pressure applied on work tool is relieved, a separating spring disengages the clutch and braking surfaces on the drum limit its axial displacement and brake the rotation of the wobbling disc.

    • An impact hammer has a housing, a motor accommodated in the housing, an impacting mechanism accommodated in the housing and having a driver and a striker which is displaced by the driver in an axial direction and periodically strikes a shaft of a tool with the driver being tiltable about a tilting axis, a driving element which drives the driver into a reciprocating motion and a shaft which rotates the driving element. The driving element is provided with two interengaging eccentric parts including a first eccentric part which is non-rotatably connected with the shaft and a second eccentric part which is axially displaceable relative to the shaft. The eccentric parts have ring surfaces each surrounding the shaft, arranged asymmetrically relative to one another and being in contact with one another. The ring surfaces are offset relative to the one another so that a resulting eccentricity of the driving element relative to the shaft, which eccentricity acts on the driver, is adjustable between zero and a maximal value.

    • The invention relates to a tool system which includes an exchangeable rotary tool for electric hand-held machine tools, preferably with a drill and/or hammer function, in particular for an electric hammer drill, and an electric drill, in particular a percussion drill. The tool system also includes at least two tool holders that are embodied as tool fittings that are associated with the hand-held machine tools and are different types. The rotary tool has an insertable shaft to be accommodated in the respective tool holder of the hand-held machine tools, the shaft having at least two slaving ribs that are diametrically opposed and that extend along the shaft for rotational engagement. The tool fitting of a first type is embodied as a positive fit fitting and another tool fitting of the second type as a multi-jaw clamping chuck. The slaving ribs have a width and a height such that, in the clamped state, they are at a lateral distance from the clamping jaws of the multi jaw clamping chuck.
