摘要： In a process of mounting a camshaft 20 to a supporting member 10, a shaft body 21 is firstly inserted into a first bearing hole 13F in the front side of the supporting member 10, before the shaft body 21 is axially moved toward the second bearing hole 13R. In order to get a cam lobe 22 through a concave bearing portion 13M in a semicircular arc shape, rotation of the camshaft 20 enables a cam nose 22b to be directed downward, which is opposite from the concave bearing portion 13M. This enables avoiding the interference between the cam nose 22b and the concave bearing portion 13M, even when the curvature radius of the concave bearing portion 13M is reduced. Consequently, reduction of the curvature radius of the concave bearing portion 13M achieves the downsizing of the supporting member 10.

摘要： A variable venturi-type carburetor comprising a metering jet and at least one air-bleed bore formed on the cylindrical inner wall of the metering jet. The amount of air fed into the fuel passage of the carburetor from the air-bleed bore is controlled by an output signal from the oxygen concentration detector arranged in the exhaust manifold so that the air-fuel ratio of the mixture fed into the cylinder of the engine becomes equal to the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. The metering needle is arranged so that it contacts the cylindrical inner wall of the metering jet and partially covers the air-bleed bore.

摘要： A variable venturi-type carburetor comprising a main fuel passage which is open to the intake passage of the carburetor. An air bleed passage is connected to the main fuel passage. The inlet of the air bleed passage is divided into a first passage and a second passage. A first control valve and a first jet are arranged in the first passage. A second control valve and a second jet are arranged in the second passage. The second jet has a flow area which is larger than that of the first jet. The first control valve opens the first passage only when the engine is operating under an idling state. The second control valve opens the second passage only during the cruising operation of a vehicle.

The push rod is connected to the throttle valve of the carburetor so that the degree of opening of the throttle valve becomes smaller as the temperature of the cooling water of the engine is increased. The amount of air fed into the fuel passage from the air bleed passage is controlled by the push rod so that the amount of the air is increased as the temperature of the cooling water of the engine is increased. A vacuum-operated, time-delay valve is connected between the air-bleed passage and the atmosphere and increases the amount of air fed into the fuel passage from the air-bleed passage following a brief time delay period after the engine starts.

摘要： A variable venturi-type carburetor comprising a vacuum chamber, connected to a venturi portion of the carburetor, and a suction piston actuated in response to a change in vacuum in the vacuum chamber. A fuel passage is formed in the carburetor and is open to the intake passage of the carburetor. The suction piston has a needle extending through the fuel passage. An air bleed passage is connected to the fuel passage. When the level of vacuum in the intake passage becomes smaller than a predetermined level, the amount of air fed into the fuel passage from the air bleed passage is reduced, and the vacuum chamber is caused to be open to the atmosphere.

摘要： A hydraulic lash adjuster for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The hydraulic lash adjuster includes a low-pressure chamber defined in the plunger and filled with a hydraulic fluid and a high-pressure chamber filled with hydraulic fluid defined in a lower interior of the cylinder and partitioned by the bottom wall of the plunger from the low-pressure chamber. A valve port is formed through the bottom wall of the plunger so as to communicate with both the low-pressure and high-pressure chambers. The valve port has at the high-pressure chamber side an opening edge formed with a valve seat face. A valve element is provided in the high-pressure chamber so as to abut and depart from the valve seat face, thereby closing and opening the valve port. The valve element is made of a material having a specific gravity smaller than steel.
