摘要： In a coffee extracting apparatus in which coffee essence is extracted from coffee powder (200) in a container (51), an air feeding arrangement (43) is provided for feeding pressed air into the container. After the coffee essence is extracted from coffee powder, coffee grounds (200') are remained in the container. It is assumed that the coffee grounds are adhered to an inner surface of the container. In order to expel the coffee grounds from the container, the air feeding arrangement is controlled so that the pressed air is fed into the container after extracting the coffee essence from the coffee powder.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device having an interconnection part formed of multiple carbon nanotubes is disclosed. The method includes the steps of (a) forming a growth mode control layer controlling the growth mode of the carbon nanotubes, (b) forming a catalyst layer on the growth mode control layer, and (c) causing the carbon nanotubes to grow by heating the catalyst layer by thermal CVD so that the carbon nanotubes serve as the interconnection part. The growth mode control layer is formed by sputtering or vacuum deposition in an atmospheric gas, using a metal selected from a group of Ti, Mo, V, Nb, and W. The growth mode is controlled in accordance with a predetermined concentration of oxygen gas of the atmospheric gas.

摘要： A coffee brewing apparatus has a first cylinder for containing hot water having a top opening, a vertically extending shaft fixedly connected to the first cylinder, the shaft having a hot water release channel vertically therethrough and a pressure-operated hot water release valve disposed in the channel, a vertically movable piston, a vertically movable second cylinder for holding ground coffee therein having top and bottom openings and disposed below the first cylinder coaxially therewith, and a vertically movable plunger sealingly and slidingly connected with the shaft. The plunger has an internal cylindrical chamber and a shallow hot water spreading chamber in a bottom section thereof. When the plunger is lowered, the bottom section thereof enters the second cylinder and compacts the ground coffee therein. As the piston enters the first cylinder through the top opening thereof and further descends, the hot water in the first cylinder is pressurized so that the hot water release valve opens and pressurized hot water in the first cylinder is released through the hot water release channel in the shaft, the cylindrical chamber and the hot water spreading chamber of the plunger to be poured onto the ground coffee in the second cylinder.

摘要： According to a method of manufacturing carbon nanotubes, minute concavities and convexities are formed at a surface of a substrate, a catalyst metal layer having a predetermined film thickness is formed on the surface having the concavities and convexities, the substrate is subject to a heat treatment at a predetermined temperature to change the catalyst metal layer into a plurality of isolated fine particles. The catalyst metal fine particles have a uniform particle diameter and uniform distribution. Then, the substrate supporting the plurality of fine particles is placed in a carbon-containing gas atmosphere to grow carbon nanotubes on the catalyst metal fine particles by a CVD method using the carbon-containing gas. The carbon nanotubes can be formed to have a desired diameter and a desired shell number with superior reproducibility.
