摘要： A method of determining a color transformation for images of biological material includes preparing a first set of biological test objects using a first preparation method, and preparing a second set of biological test objects using a second preparation method. Each test object in the second set of test objects corresponding to a counterpart test object in the first set of test objects, the test object and its counterpart being of the same biological type of material. For each test object in the first and second set of test objects, the color of the test object is determined thereby generating a first and second set of colors The method further includes generating a conversion table indicating a mapping between the colors in the first set of colors and the corresponding colors in the second set of colors. The first and second preparation methods include first and second staining methods, respectively.

摘要： A metal nanoantenna for use in a biosensing device is disclosed. The metal nanoantenna is arranged to exhibit at least two particle plasmon resonances or surface plasmon resonances (SPRs). The nanoantenna is for use in a sensor and allows detection at low concentration of biological components. In one aspect, the nanoantenna can have an asymmetric structural configuration and spectrally separated resonances. In one aspect, there is a location in its structure providing local electromagnetic field enhancement at all of the SPRs. The metal nanoantenna can be used for background free measuring of a quantity of a biological component.

摘要： A scanning microscope includes a stage for holding a sample, a scan mechanism, a probing system for probing a region of the sample, a position sensor, and a controller. The scan mechanism is configured to translate the stage between at least two axial positions. The probing system includes an optical element and a photosensor having a readout region, where the readout region extends in a direction which is transverse to an ideal orientation of the stage. The position sensor is configured to measure a transverse position of the stage and/or of an orientation of the stage. The controller is configured to adapt the probing system as a function of the measured transverse position and/or the measured orientation.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for conducting real-time PCR, and to a device for conducting the method of the present invention. The invention is especially suited for the simultaneous identification and quantification of nucleic acids present in a sample, e.g. a biological sample. Further, this invention describes a method for simultaneous quantitative analysis of multiple nucleic acid sequences in a single compartment by using an integrated nucleic acid microarray combined with a highly surface-specific readout device. The invention relates to a device wherein a surface which is either part of the chamber surface or a surface that is created in the reaction chamber, such as bead surface, is coated with capture probes and in the same chamber, a PCR reaction takes place.
