摘要： An automatic cartridge changer comprising a rotary tray for storing a plurality of cartridges having numerical codes, a tape player for the playback of the cartridges, tray driving means for rotating the rotary tray, and index means for restricting the rotation of the rotary tray so as to position a selected single cartridge at a first position. Cartridge exchanging means transports the cartridge from the first position to a second position to engage the cartridge with the tape player. Selecting means is manually operable to select a numerical code. A first voltage coder produces a first voltage value corresponding to the numerical code. A second voltage coder produces a second voltage value corresponding to the selected cartridge. A voltage comparator makes comparison between the first and second voltage values. Control means actuates the tray driving means to rotate the rotary tray when the first and second voltage values are different, and initiates the index means to stop the rotation when the first and second voltage values are the same.

摘要： A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus. The apparatus has tape-moving means including a tape drive capstan, a pinch roller, a takeup reel roller, and a supply reel roller, and has magnetic heads for recording and or reproducing signals on said tape. Memory means is provided for mechanically memorizing a length which the tape has moved. Driving means causes switch means to change said magnetic heads from the reproducing condition to the recording condition, and simultaneously engages said memory means with one of said reel rollers. Rewind means drives said supply reel roller to rewind said tape after the recording is completed and is moved out of engagement with said supply reel roller when the length of said tape that has been memorized by said memory means has been rewound.

摘要： A tape recorder for detecting a pause portion between signal bands on a tape while the tape is being moved at a higher speed than a tape-playing speed and for playing back a signal band from its beginning. The tape recorder has a tape-moving drive for moving a tape at a tape-playing speed, winding drive for moving the tape at a higher speed than the tape-playing speed, operating linkage for bringing the winding drive into its operative state, holding linkage for holding the operating means linkage at an operative position, a transducing head for reproducing signals recorded on the tape according to movement of the tape, an electric amplifier connected to the head, a detecting circuit coupled to the amplifier to detect a pause portion between signal bands on the tape, an electromagnet responsive to the pause portion detected by the detecting circuit while the tape is being moved by the winding drive, a driving device driven by a motor, and releasing linkage for releasing the operating linkage from the holding linkage upon engagement of the driving device with the releasing linkage so that the winding drive is brought into its inoperative state when the releasing linkage is actuated by the electromagnet upon detection of the pause portion on the tape.
