摘要： A coating device for coating a peripheral surface of a sleeve body with a coating formulation includes a vertical support column for supporting a sleeve body in a vertical position coaxial with a coating axis, a carriage slideable along the vertical support column, and an annular coating stage attached to the carriage and moveable therewith for containing the coating formulation and for coating a layer of the coating formulation onto the peripheral surface of the sleeve body during a sliding movement of the carriage along the vertical support column. The coating device includes an irradiation stage that is arranged to be moveable with the annular coating stage and to provide radiation to at least partially cure the layer of coating formulation onto the peripheral surface so as to prevent flow off of the coating formulation.

摘要： Upon a substrate subsequent layers of elastic ink are jetted using an ink jet printing system. Each layer is immobilised by a immobilisation step before jetting the following layer.A printing relief is gradually formed to obtain a flexographic printing plate allowing accurate control over the relief and slopes of the printing plates.Use can be made of different inks or immobilisation step to obtain different layer characteristics.Inks can be immobilised using UV curing.The recorded relief of the layers can be measured and corrections can be applied using a feed-back loop.A rejuvenation process for printing plates can be constructed using the described method.An elastic base layer can be provided on the substrate to provide better plate characteristics.

摘要： A positioning system includes adjustment means for accurately positioning a positioning device relative to a frame. The adjustment means makes a sliding contact with a dedicated lever which makes contact with the frame. The contact surfaces of the dedicated lever are specially shaped in order to obtain a linear behavior of the positioning system. Within a working distance D an equal movement of the adjustment means over a distance Δx is converted into a corresponding movement of the positioning device relative to the frame over a distance Δy. The ratio Δx/Δy is substantially constant for movements within the working distance D. When using the positioning system in a printing system, it is possible to measure the position error of printheads having arrays of printing elements only once and adjust the positioning devices carrying the printheads only once to align the printing elements to each other and to the printing direction of the printer.

摘要： An apparatus for the wet processing of photographic sheet material comprises at least one treatment vessel having a rotatable endless surface means biased towards a reaction member to define a nip there-between through which the sheet material path extends. At least one of the endless rotatable surface means and the reaction member comprises an inner region (58) of elastomeric material having a relatively low hardness, and an outer region (60) of elastomeric material having a relatively high hardness positioned over the inner region (58). Such a roller minimises carry-over between vessels without damage to the sheet material while being capable of successfully being used as a drive roller. The roller exhibits good stability against treatment liquids and has good processing qualities.
