    • A circuit is used for driving a plurality of lamps, such as Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFLs). The lamps are paired to form a plurality of pairs of lamps. Each of the plurality of pairs of lamps has two lamps which are coupled to each other in series. The plurality of pairs of lamps are coupled in parallel. The circuit comprises a switch circuit, a transformer, and a plurality of balance chokes. The switch circuit is used for converting a DC electric power into a first AC electric power. The transformer has a primary winding and a secondary winding. The primary winding of the transformer is coupled to the switch circuit for receiving said first AC electric power and energizing the secondary winding to generate a second AC electric power from the secondary winding to energize the plurality of lamps. Each of the balance chokes includes a first winding and a second winding. The first winding and the second winding of each of the balance chokes are coupled to two of the plurality of pairs of lamps in series, respectively, so as to balance currents flowing through those two pairs of lamps.

    • The invention relates to a method and system for operating a gaming terminal where the gaming terminal cabinet itself is an active feature or element of the wagering game. The method and system of the invention involve a gaming terminal cabinet that is transformable from a primary external configuration to a secondary external configuration. The transformation of the gaming terminal cabinet may be based on an outcome of a basic wagering game, a bonus wagering game, or both. The secondary external configuration may involve a single transformation or it may involve multiple transformations. At the end of the wagering game, the gaming terminal cabinet may be transformed back into the primary external configuration. The transformation of the gaming terminal cabinet may also be used to attract the attention of passersby when the gaming terminal is idle to thereby generate interest in the gaming terminal.

    • Methods for facilitating and supporting the metabolism and transport of glucose and carbohydrates into muscle cells are taught. Preferably, the methods include the step of administering a composition of bio-active compounds further including 4-hydroxyisoleucine and one or more amino acids selected from the group consisting of arginine, aspartate, threonine, serine, glutamate, proline, glycine, alanine, cysteine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, ornithine, lysine, histidine, and gamma-aminobutyrate. In one presently preferred embodiment of the present invention, the bio-active compounds are extracted from fenugreek seeds. The methods of the present invention preferably include a composition of bio-active compounds with between about 10% and 70% of 4-hydroxyisoleucine and between about 20% and 40% of the amino acids. In presently preferred embodiments of the present invention, methods may work independently of or synergistically with insulin to stimulate the activity of glucose transport receptors located in muscle. More particularly, methods of the present invention may stimulate the activity of glucose transport receptor type 4.
