摘要： A system for implementing Incremental Redundancy (IR) operations in a wireless receiver includes a baseband processor, an equalizer, a system processor, and an IR processing module. The baseband processor receives an analog signal corresponding to a data block and samples the analog signal to produce samples. The equalizer receives the samples from the baseband processor, equalizes the samples, and produces soft decision bits corresponding to the data block. The equalizer may be implemented as a distinct processing component or may be performed by the baseband processor or system processor. The system processor receives at least the soft decision bits and initiates IR operations. The IR processing module receives the soft decision bits of the data block and performs IR operations on the data block in an attempt to correctly decode a corresponding data block.

Aspects of one method may include a detection block intermittently enabling a bias circuit block to provide a bias signal to determine if an auxiliary microphone may be communicatively coupled to a mobile device. The detection block may process 1-bit digital samples received from the bias circuit bock to determine whether the auxiliary microphone may be communicatively coupled. The detection block may also process the 1-bit digital samples to determine if a button associated with the auxiliary microphone may have been pushed or activated.

The gain may be fine-tuned utilizing a variable step size determined by interpolation. The gain coefficient may be partitioned into gain blocks, which may be twice a corresponding value in preceding gain blocks. The gain blocks may be partitioned into steps that represent particular gain values within a range associated with the gain block. The digital output signal may be ramped utilizing a linear interpolation of the gain coefficients over a number of samples of the input signal, where the number of samples is given as a power of two.

摘要： One or more circuits in a mobile phone may be utilized for up sampling two or more audio signals to a same data sampling rate. Each audio signal, such as digital audio, voice, and polyringer, for example, may be received at one of a plurality of data sampling rates and one or more of the following wireless standards: WCDMA, HSDPA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and/or Bluetooth. Audio signals may be equalized and/or compensated with an FIR filter before up sampling or with an IIR filter to reduce overall processing latency. Multiple half-band interpolation operations may perform the up sampling. The first half-band filter may be replaced by an IIR filter to reduce overall processing latency. A gain of the up-sampled data may be adjusted to reduce noise effects. The channels of the up-sampled audio signals may be mixed and later further up sampled for subsequent communication to an output device.
