    • The present invention is a system including a first transmission line oriented in a first plane and a second transmission line oriented in a second plane. Both the first transmission line and the second transmission line include a pair of rigid substrate layers, a pair of flexible substrate layers and a trace portion, the trace portion being located between the pair of flexible substrate layers, the pair of flexible substrate layers being located between the pair of rigid substrate layers. The system further includes a transition transmission line which is connected between the first transmission line and the second transmission line. The transition transmission line includes a pair of flexible substrate layers and a trace portion, the trace portion of the transition transmission line being located between the pair of flexible substrate layers of the transition transmission line. The transition transmission line is configured for delivering energy from the first transmission line to the second transmission line and from the second transmission line to the first transmission line.

    • An electronically scanned array radiating element includes a ground plane layer having a pair of conductive probes. A metallization layer is coupled with the ground plane layer and includes a first asymmetric cluster including HOF scattering members and impedance-matching dipoles. A first electrically-large impedance-matching dipole is coupled with one of the conductive probes and is associated with the first asymmetric cluster. The first electrically-large impedance-matching dipole and the first asymmetric cluster may cooperate with one another to produce a signal. A second asymmetric cluster includes HOF scattering members and impedance-matching dipoles. A second electrically-large impedance-matching dipole is coupled with the other conductive probe and is associated with the second asymmetric cluster. The electrically-large impedance-matching dipole and the asymmetric cluster may cooperate with one another to produce a second signal having a polarization orthogonal to the polarization of the first signal.

    • The present invention is a tunable multi-element network for providing impedance transformation. The network may include a first switched capacitor power load modulator circuit and a second switched capacitor power load modulator circuit. The network may further include a series inductive component configured for connecting to at least one of the first power load modulator circuit and the second power load modulator circuit. The network may be further configured for connection to a transmit antenna and a power amplifier. The network may be further configured for receiving an arbitrary impedance from the antenna. The network may be further configured for synthesizing an arbitrary capacitive reactance based on a dynamically controllable phase angle between a switch drive signal provided by the network and an incident Radio Frequency (RF) signal. The network may be further configured for matching the antenna impedance to the power amplifier via the arbitrary capacitive reactance.
