    • A lighting fixture that is adapted to be mounted on a normally concealed, vertical surface of a large musical instrument or item of furniture such that the lamp assembly and its supporting frame may be concealed when lowered to an inoperative position behind the musical instrument or furniture item. The fixture includes a bracket mounted on the concealed side of the musical instrument or furniture item, and the longer leg of an inverted, J-shaped frame is mounted in the bracket for vertically shiftable and pivotal movement. The longer leg has a plurality of vertically spaced grooves in the outer surface thereof, which coact with a ball detent in the bracket to releasably retain the frame and lamp assembly in different, vertical positions. A swivel mounting connects the lamp assembly to the shorter leg of the frame and limits the extent of rotation of the lamp assembly relative to the shorter leg of the frame. The swivel mounting includes a resilient member which takes up any clearance in the mounting and which serves to return the lamp assembly to a substantially horizontal position if accidentally displaced therefrom.

    • An environmentally sealed terminal block includes a hollow block member and a plurality of connection assemblies mountable on the block member for providing interconnections between respective conductors of two groups of wires. Each of the connection assemblies includes an insulation displacement connector for receiving at least one conductor of each of the two groups of wires, a cap mountable to the block for accepting a quantity of sealing material for surroundingly engaging and environmentally sealing the insulation displacement connector and having a through aperture. A conductive activating screw extends through the through aperture and has a head portion projecting outwardly of the cap when assembled therewith to provide a test point. A nonconductive head cap member surroundingly engages the head of the activating screw and has an opening for access to the test point, the head cap member engaging the cap member for coupling the screw therewith, and the screw being freely rotatable relative to the head cap member and to the cap member. A conductive plate electrically interconnects the activating screw and the insulation displacement connector; and a resealable cap seal is coupled with the nonconductive head cap member for covering the opening therein, and is selectively openable and reclosable for permitting selective access to the test point.

    • A connector for mounting on a vertical main frame has an elongate body portion containing a protector field and an elongate jumper field extending along one side. The connector is mounted on the frame member by a bracket which mounts the connector so that the body portion extends at an angle to the plane of the main frame. With an appropriate angle, a useful space is provided between connectors, for access, while removal and replacement of protector modules, and entire connectors, is readily available. One particularly appropriate angle is about 53.degree., while another is about 70.degree., although these can vary. A test field can also extend along one side, adjacent to the jumper field.

    • A flood protection pedestal protects telecommunications equipment and the like retained therein from water damage during flood conditions in the surrounding environment. The flood protection pedestal includes a base assembly, a structural cover assembly removably attached to the base assembly for covering the telecommunications equipment, and an air entrapping arrangement inside the cover assembly over the telecommunications equipment. The air entrapping arrangement may be either a thin walled unitary dome member integrally formed of a plastics material or a coating applied to the interior of the cover assembly. A downwardly oriented opening is formed in the dome member for receiving telecommunications equipment. A body of air is entrapped within the cover assembly when flood waters rise above a given level for protecting the telecommunications equipment from exposure to the flood waters.
