摘要： Devices and methods for adjusting resource management procedures in a mobile device communicating with a node operating in a cell in a heterogeneous communication network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a signal, including a reference signal, transmitted from the node during a predetermined time period, measuring signal reception information, including reference signal power values, at predetermined time intervals during the predetermined time period, measuring speeds of movement of the mobile device at the predetermined time intervals, determining a reference signal power variation value based on the variability of the measured reference signal power values, comparing the determined reference signal power variation value with a predetermined power threshold value for a given measured speed, determining cell information based on the comparison, determining an adjustment to a resource management procedure based on the determined cell information, and adjusting the resource management procedure based on the determined adjustment.

The radio frequency signal that is used to communicate between the first antenna and the second antenna is adjusted in response to the frequency response that was measured in order to reduce an impact of the fading dip in the radio channel on the radio frequency signal during operation. Related systems, methods, and devices are disclosed.

摘要： A radio communications unit that has a casing includes an antenna that is connected to a signal processing unit. A metal object is placed in the casing and connected to an impedance. The antenna receives a radio signal which has repeating fading moments where the signal strength C is exceedingly low. The signal processing unit includes a unit for controlling a switch and impedance unit. In their simplest form, these control devices are manual, although they may alternatively comprise devices that are integrated in the signal processing unit which controls the activation of the metal object and the impedance with control signals. When the antenna is situated in a fading minimum, the metal object is either connected to or disconnected from the impedance unit, resulting in new signal reflections that cause the fading minimum to be moved away from the antenna.
