    • A liquid ejection apparatus having liquid ejection heads extending in a particular direction, and each liquid ejection head has an ejection surface with ejection ports configured to eject a liquid, a supply port to which liquid is supplied, and a flow path formed in the liquid ejection head. The flow path is configured to place the ejection ports and the supply port in fluid communication. The liquid ejection heads are positioned at predetermined intervals in a direction perpendicular to the particular direction, and for each liquid ejection head, the supply port of one liquid ejection head is in a different location in the particular direction, than all of the liquid ejection heads adjacent to the one liquid ejection head in the perpendicular direction.

    • An ink-jet recording apparatus of the present invention records an image on a recording medium by having ink landed on the recording medium. The apparatus includes ink-jet heads, a dot position memory unit, an image data memory unit, a print data generating unit and a head controller. The dot position memory unit stores therein dot positions which include: black dot positions where only ink droplets of black ink are landed and chromatic color dot positions where only ink droplets of chromatic color ink are landed. The head controller causes the ink-jet heads to eject the ink droplets to the dot positions, so that: only the ink droplets of the black ink lands in the black dot positions stored in the dot position memory unit; and only the ink droplets of the chromatic color ink lands in the chromatic color dot positions stored in the dot position memory unit.

    • An image forming apparatus maintains a constant beam scanning state so that light beams scan each drum always in the same state once a desired color overlapping accuracy is obtained by controlling color registration in color image formation. This mechanism achieves constantly fine color overlapping without forming a test pattern several times or consuming toner unnecessarily. A beam passage switch is provided in a laser scanning system. Sensors provided near each photosensitive drum determine whether each light beam has scanned a certain portion with no inclination or a certain scanning area, or whether each image magnification provides a desired size. Sensors for detecting scanning light beam obtains the center of light beam in accordance with information on a point at which the sensors start to respond and another point at which they cease responding, for performing several types of control based on the positional information, which provides correct information even though the size or power is different over several light beam.
