    • The electromagnetic target generator of this invention is used to simulate radar target for the purpose of testing and experimenting on a variety of weapon systems radars. The weapon system radar being tested emits a radar signal which is received by the target generator. The target generator delays, doppler shifts, and reemits the signal for receipt by the weapon system antenna. The simulated target presented to the radar system under investigation has digitally controlled range, radial velocity, coordinated doppler and radar cross section. This provides a realistic radar target return without requiring real targets. The radar system is exercised in inflight and tactical operational configuration and no part of the weapons system radar is bypassed. Delayed radar target replicas are indistinguishable from real target waveforms. The electromagnetic target generator may be used in locations which preclude the use of real radar targets, such as anechoic chambers, and also may be used in the field.

    • An improved vehicle ramp is formed to eliminate interference between the vehicle spoilers and the ramp by extending the ramp when assembled such that the ramp has a lesser angled or sloped inclined surface. The improved vehicle ramp is further formed to eliminate ramp sliding as the vehicle is driven onto and up the ramp. Finally, the improved vehicle ramp eliminates knifing into the ground under loading. The improved vehicle ramp includes a base ramp with a base plate under its vertical edge. The improved vehicle ramp further includes a ramp extension secured to the base of the base ramp incline, and a ramp transition secured between the ramp extension and base ramp for providing a lesser sloped incline with a gradual entrance angle. The ramp extension, ramp transition, and base plate from two improved vehicle ramps are packageable in a compact nature for shipping, display and storage.

    • A vehicle ramp is formed as a unitary sheet metal member and has a inclined ramp portion provided with longitudinally spaced rows of stiffening bosses and a flat reinforcement area at a lower end of the ramp. A raised wheel rest portion has a generally flat bottom surface and is reinforced by a transverse projection which terminates at a pair of longitudinally extending side depression formed at the junction of the wheel rest portion and the ramp. A pair of raised rails extend completely along the sides of the ramp and wheel rest portion, and downwardly along the sides of an end wall which forms the elevating rear support portion of the ramp. The stiffening bosses are arranged in alternating rows of three and four bosses per row. A stop is formed at the junction of the wheel rest portion and the elevating support portion and has a rearwardly inclined transverse stiffening projection. The particular arrangement of bosses, side rails, and various depressions and projections provide a strong support ramp with a reduced metal thickness and weight without sacrificing safety.
