    • There is provided a network node for detecting a communication device (stealth device) in a local network and identifying a type of the detected communication device. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the network node 200 detects a search message sent out by a stealth device, and sends a response message to the stealth device as if the network node 200 were a target node to be searched for. The network node 200 then receives a request message from the stealth device, and extracts, from the request message, identification information (e.g., a User-Agent header) that corresponds to a type of the stealth device. The identifying unit 208, which may be located inside or outside the network node 200, identifies the type of the stealth device based on the extracted identification information.

    • An information processing system for offering a remote access from a device to a virtual service provided in a local network is provided. The virtual service invokes native services provisioned by a service provider. The system comprising: a management unit managing service information specifying a shortcut component of the service; an obtaining unit obtaining a request for the virtual service from the device; a receiving unit receiving the service information from the management unit; a specification unit specifying a shortcut component for the requested virtual service based on the received service information; an invoking unit executing the specified shortcut component by invoking native services to the service provider, and transferring the other component of the requested virtual service to the local network; a combination unit combining results; and a response unit responding the combined result to the device.

    • A method, system and computer program in a software framework for enabling controlled communication between a generic application on the software framework and a service application in a second environment. An access request is transmitted by the generic application to an interface provision unit. The request includes an identity of the generic application. An instant interface is provided by the interface provision unit to the second environment. The instant interface is determined by the access request and dedicated for the generic application. A response is returned by the interface provision unit to the generic application including an address to the instant interface. Thereby the instant interface permits controlled communication between the generic application and the service application, thus enabling the new controlled communication without changes of the second environment.

    • Delivery of media content ordered at a user terminal (20, 22) from a content provider (40) and to a media rendering device (12, 13, 14) present in a local network (2) is enabled. Media information relating to the media content is converted into converted media information by replacing media content links to converted links directed towards a device selecting module (120).
