    • An automatic disc changer apparatus operable for selecting and loading any one of a plurality of digital data discs onto the spindle of a disc player or other data input/output device is disclosed. The disc changer apparatus includes a disc storage rack that stores the discs in a toroidal arrangement surrounding the disc player, a disc selecting mechanism for selecting a disc for loading onto the data input/output device, a disc staging mechanism for transferring the selected disc from the disc storage rack to a position adjacent to the data input/output device, and a spindle loading mechanism for loading the selected disc onto the spindle of the data input/ouput device.

    • A lighted display features a decorative mounting board having an outer display surface and a rear surface. A string of lights has a plurality of bulb sockets which mount bulbs in their openings and are interconnected by electrical wiring. The bulb lighting portions each have a diameter smaller than the diameter of a socket. A plurality of apertures are arranged in a predetermined decorative pattern on the board. Each aperture is sized to enable insertion of a bulb lighting portion, but presents a barrier preventing reception of a socket. The perimeter of surrounding board material provides a resilient edge which grips the bulb lighting portions. The string of lights is mounted to the board by inserting the bulb lighting portions into said apertures from the rear surface until the sockets engage the aperture perimeters. Upon illumination, the lighted string of lights provides an illuminated outline of the predetermined pattern defined by the apertures, which may be informative, as with words, or a decorative, such as a figure. The lights are easily inserted and removed for selective use in a plurality of such displays.

    • An apparatus for transporting material, such as semiconductor wafers, between process modules coupled to a chamber. The transport apparatus includes a chamber; guide rails affixed to an outer surface of the chamber; one or more material transporters each including a motorized vehicle positioned outside the chamber and movable along the guide rails, a material carrier positioned inside the chamber, and magnetic levitation means for magnetically coupling the material carrier to the motorized vehicle through a nonmagnetic wall of the chamber; and a controller that controls the position of the motorized vehicle along the guide devices to move the material carrier to desired positions within the chamber.
