When a plurality of small magnets having a diameter of about 2 to 3 mm are rotated by the finger, from the rotation direction and the rotation angle of the magnets the operation direction and the operation amount of the finger can be detected. Therefore, it is possible to obtain an input device capable of making an entire input device with a low dimension so as to make the device thin, and capable of reliable operation.
