    • An apparatus for cleaning chandeliers includes a hand-held jet gun having a proximal end connected to a source of hot water under positive pressure and a distal end having a spray head for discharging hot water under pressure in a spray pattern. A hand-held vacuum shield has at least one vacuum inlet connected to a source of negative pressure. Hot water discharged from the spray head is attracted to the hand-held vacuum shield when the spray head and the hand-held vacuum shield are held in relatively close proximity to one another and the hand-held vacuum shield is in fluid communication with the source of negative pressure. An object disposed between the spray head and the hand-held vacuum shield is cleansed by the action of hot water under positive pressure impinging against it. The hand-held vacuum shield protects objects not disposed between the spray head and the hand-held vacuum shield.

The cleaning chamber is in fluid communication with a remote vacuum source and a remote source of hot water and hot air under positive pressure. Crystals disposed within the cleaning chamber are cleaned by hot water from the water-spaying nozzle and the vacuum pulls ambient air and dirt to the source of negative pressure. The crystals are dried by ambient air and the hot air.

    • A chandelier cleaning apparatus includes a tent-like enclosure made of a transparent plastic. In a first embodiment, the enclosure includes a main body having a flat top panel and a flat, imperforate bottom panel. A central aperture is formed in the top panel and a zipper extends from the central aperture to an outer periphery of the top panel so that the central opening is enlarged when the zipper is open. The chandelier passes through the central aperture when the zipper is open and is enclosed within the enclosure when the zipper is closed. A mist of hot water is sprayed onto the chandelier with a wand that extends though a small opening in the enclosure. The time required to clean a typical chandelier drops from hours to minutes, no chemicals are used, and the chandelier is touched only by the hot mist.

    • An apparatus for cleaning items includes a container having a bottom wall, an open top, and an item-supporting screen formed in the bottom wall. A cleaning station has an open top and slideably receives the container. The container and cleaning station are in fluid communication with a remote vacuum source. A jet nozzle positioned inside the container is in fluid communication with a remote source of clean water and sprays clean water on the item upon activation of a pump. Ambient air for drying the item after cleaning is drawn into the container through an opening formed in a container lid and follows a path of travel that envelopes the item and dries the item when the remote source of vacuum is activated. The rate of flow of ambient air as well as the breadth of the flow is controlled by the size of the opening in the container lid.

    • Apparatus is provided for the cleaning of the downwardly extending pendants and swags of beads of a chandelier in situ by ultrasonic cavitation. The cleaning apparatus is provided with a top member detachably connected to a bottom member. The bottom member can be of one size and configuration and be interchangeable with top members of various sizes and configurations. Apparatus is also provided for lifting the ultrasonic cleaning apparatus vertically upwardly to locate the cleaning apparatus for the cleaning of certain preselected chandelier pendants or swags, holding the cleaning apparatus in that position while the pendants or swags are being subjected to ultrasonic energy, and then lowering the cleaning apparatus vertically downwardly so that the cleaning apparatus can be repositioned for the ultrasonic cleaning of further preselected pendants and swags. Ultrasonic cleaning apparatus can be provided of compact design and light weight which is hand-holdable for the ultrasonic cleaning of one or more pendants or one or more festoons of beads at one time.
