    • A power transmitting apparatus with improved power transmitting efficiency and reduced lag time for shifting speeds can comprise a starting clutch mechanism configured to selectively transmit and cut off driving power of engine to wheels of a vehicle, a plurality of gear-stage clutch devices operatively positioned to transmit power between the starting clutch mechanism and the wheels, an input and an output of the plurality of gear-stage clutch devices configured at predetermined gear ratios, and a gear-stage selecting device configured to select any one of the gear-stage clutch devices in accordance with a vehicle operating condition and selectively set a gear ratio for power transmission from the engine to the wheels. The gear-stage clutch devices can comprise alternately arranged driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs, and hydraulic pistons. The hydraulic pistons can be configured to selectively engage or disengage the driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs such that driving power of the engine is transmitted to the wheels at a corresponding predetermined gear ratio when the driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs are engaged.

    • The present invention provides a toner composition mainly comprising a binder resin (D) which contains at least 20% by weight of an urethane-modified polyester resin (C) obtained by reacting a polyester resin (A) with an isocyanate compound (B) and whose gel fraction ranges from 2 to 75% by weight. The toner composition exhibits good melting properties upon heating suitable for fast reproduction such as a low lower limit of the fixing temperature and a wide range for permitted fixing temperature and is further excellent in resistance to blocking, resistance to carrier contamination and image-forming properties.     • Apparatus for controlling at least three shift valves operating four hydraulic clutches in a hydraulically operated vehicular transmission. The shift valves are serially located and alternately switched to establish successive first through fourth-speed transmission trains. Each shift valve is urged to one position by a respective spring and has an oil chamber at its opposite for oil pressure to urge it to its other position. Additionally, the first shift valve has another oil chamber at its spring end. A first electromagnetic open-air pressure dump valve is connected to a first oil passage through which oil is inputted to the first oil chamber of the first shift valves and the oil chamber of the second shift valve. A second electromagnetic open-air pressure dump valve is connected to a second oil passage through which oil is inputted to the other oil chamber of the first shift valve and the oil chamber of the third shift valve. An electronic microcomputer controls the first and second electromagnetic valves to operate the shift valves by permitting or dumping oil pressure to the oil chambers.
