    • The present invention sufficiently reduces unwanted radiation in a plasma display panel (PDP) display device. The display device includes a PDP having a pair of electrodes, a first, a second, and a third conductive member, and a pair of driving circuits used to apply a voltage to their respective electrodes. Each conductive member has substantially the same width and height as the PDP, and the first, second, third conductive members are disposed on the rear surface of the PDP, in this order on the rear side of the PDP. The PDP and the conductive members are connected electrically to one another in the end portions of these elements, either directly or via the driving circuits, so that the direction of the current flowing in the PDP during driving and discharge coincides with the direction of the current flowing in the third conductive member, and is opposite from the direction of the current flowing in the first conductive member and the second conductive member.

    • Provided are a stereoscopic display device and stereoscopic display system, and a stereoscopic display device and glasses for stereoscopic video image observation, which are capable of reducing flicker attributable to the influence of a fluorescent lamp while preventing increase in crosstalk. Specifically, provided is a stereoscopic display system provided with: a stereoscopic display device which displays left-eye video images and right-eye video images alternatively in terms of time, the left-eye video images and right-eye video images being based on inputted left-eye video signals and right-eye video signals; and glasses for stereoscopic observation which comprise left-eye shutter and right-eye shutter configured to adjust quantities of light passing through the glasses toward the respective left and right eyes, and with which the left-eye video images and right-eye video images are observed. The stereoscopic display system is further provided with: an ambient light detecting unit which detects ambient light surrounding the system; and a shutter controlling unit which, so that changes in quantities of ambient light entering the respective left and right shutters can be reduced, controls quantities of light passing through the respective left and right shutters.

    • A CAD apparatus designing patterns of a printed board. The apparatus includes a signal wiring pattern detecting unit for detecting a signal wiring pattern, and a guard ground detecting unit for tracing the signal wiring pattern along the longitudinal direction thereof, in order to detect whether or not a guard ground exists within a distance from the signal wiring pattern to a predetermined first discriminant value, identify a non-guard ground section within the distance to the first discriminant value, and to detect whether or not a guard ground exists within another distance from the signal wiring pattern to a second discriminant value, which is larger than the first discriminant value. The apparatus also includes a return path judging unit for judging an error of guard ground when no guard ground exists within the distance to the second discriminant value, thereby quickly checking a return path without mistake.
