    • A method and core network node for establishing a connection between a first access node and a second access node. The first access node sends to a first core network node, a connection establishment request that includes a set of framing protocol parameters for the framing of information to be sent over an interface between the first access node and the first core network node. The first core network node stores the parameter set and initializes a connection to a further core network node according to the framing protocol. If the further core network node is not connectable to the second access node, connections are successively made to additional core network nodes until reaching a final core network node connectable to the second access node. The final core network node initializes the connection to the second access node, which stores the parameter set. The connection is then established between the first access node and the second access node utilizing the parameter set.

    • A method of establishing a connection between a first access node and a second access node via a core network having a first core network node, further core network nodes, and a final core network node. The first access node sends an access request to the first core network node, which stores a set of framing information parameters received in the access request. The first core network node initializes the connection to a further core network node and sends the parameter set together with an indication that transparent transmission is to be utilized after connection establishment. The initialization of the connection and storing of the parameter set and the indication is performed stepwise in further core network nodes until the final core network node is reached. The final core network node initializes the connection to the second access node, which stores the parameter set and the indication.

    • The invention relates to a radio base station (13) for handling Outer Loop Power Control of a user equipment (12) in a radio communications network of a multiple cell (10,11) High Speed Uplink Packet Access configuration: The user equipment (12) is connected to at least two cells (10,11) using at least two carriers, one cell per carrier, wherein the radio base station (13) reports number of hybrid automatic repeat requests of the two or more carriers to a network control node (14). The radio base station (13) and the network control node (14) are comprised in the radio communications network. The radio base station determines (401) a number of hybrid automatic repeat requests over a first carrier of the at least two or more carriers, and signals (402) a user plane frame to the network control node (14). The user plane frame comprises the determined number of hybrid automatic repeat requests and an identity associated to the first carrier, enabling the network control node (14) to control an Outer Loop Power Control parameter to be used in an Outer Loop Power Control process for the first carrier.

    • Methods and apparatuses for automatically determining neighbor cells are disclosed. Cell information is received. The received cell information is compared with a list of old neighbor cells. When a new cell is detected, a determination is made as to whether the detected new cell covers the same geographical area as any of the old neighbor cells. When the new cell covers the same geographical area as at least one of the cells of the list, the new cell is stored as a neighbor cell in the list. Cell information is received. The received cell information is compared with a list of old neighbor cells. New neighbors are detected based on the comparison. A determination is made as to whether there are cells in a same geographic area as the new neighbors. A determination is made as to whether there are new cells in a same geographic area as the old neighbor cells. The new neighbors, the cells in the same geographic area as the new neighbors, and the new cells are stored as neighbors in the list.
