    • A tire position determination system including tire pressure detectors respectively attached to tires, axle rotation detectors respectively corresponding to axles, and a receiver located on a vehicle body. Each tire pressure detector detects when reaching a specific position on a rotation trajectory of the corresponding tire and transmits a radio wave including the tire ID. An ID temporary registration unit temporarily registers tire IDs to the memory that are received from the tire pressure detectors existing in a signal receivable area of the receiver. An ID registration acquires axle rotation information from each axle rotation detector whenever receiving the radio wave from each tire pressure detector, and specifies a tire ID of a tire that rotates in synchronism with rotation of each axle to determine the tire position of the tire.

    • Each tire pressure detector detects a characteristic point in a detection signal of an acceleration sensor indicating that the tire pressure detector is located at a certain rotation position. When detecting the characteristic point, the tire pressure detector transmits a notification signal including the detector ID. Whenever a receiver receives a notification signal, the receiver acquires an axle rotation amount of a representative wheel and stores the axle rotation amount in a memory in association with the detector ID in the notification signal. After acquiring axle rotation amounts associated with the detector IDs of all of the tire pressure detectors, the receiver determines mounting positions of tires from the angle each tire pressure detector rotated and the angle each axle rotated between a first determination timing and a second determination timing.

    • A tire position registration system includes a receiver that estimates, from a data group of axle rotation information of each of axles obtained for each valve ID, a parent population of the axle rotation information of each of the axles. The receiver sets a synchronized wheel tolerance region, which functions as an index for determining validity of the corresponding axle rotation information, for each parent population based on a population mean that is a mean of the parent population. The receiver specifies the tire position by determining whether or not the axle rotation information obtained for each valve ID is included in the synchronized wheel tolerance region of the corresponding parent population and specifying the axle rotating in synchronization with the tire corresponding to the valve ID.
