摘要： This invention relates to cast films prepared from interpolymer compositions comprising; (A) a substantially linear ethylene/&agr;-olefin interpolymer present in the composition in an amount of from about 10 to about 100% by weight based on the combined weight of Components A and B; and (B) a heterogeneous interpolymer present in the composition in an amount of from about 0 to about 90% by weight based on the combined weight of Components A and B; and wherein said interpolymer composition has an I10/I2 value of −1.2−1.3* log(I2) The interpolymer compositions are useful in cast stretch film manufacture with the resulting cast films having an excellent balance of strength and processability.

摘要： This invention relates to polyolefin compositions. In particular, the invention pertains to elastic polymer compositions that can be more easily processed on cast film lines, extrusion lamination or coating lines due to improved resistance to draw resonance. The compositions of the present invention comprise an elastomeric polyolefin resin and a high pressure low density type resin. The preferred compositions of the present invention comprise from 88 to 99 percent elastomer or plastomer and from 1 to 12 percent by weight of a high pressure low density type resin.

摘要： The present invention relates to soft touch fibers and nonwoven fabrics made from such fibers. The fibers comprise an incompatible polymer system which leads to the soft touch quality. The fibers comprise a mixture of at least two thermoplastic polymers each having different viscosities and wherein the mixture has an interfacial tension from about 0.5 to about 20 mN/m, and wherein the mixture comprises a portion of the fiber surface. The fibers may include from 40-98 percent of a polyolefin continuous phase and from 2 to 60 weight percent of an amorphous thermoplast dispersed phase, such as polystyrene or polyamide.

摘要： Fibers that exhibit good elasticity or extensibility and tenacity, and low modulus are prepared from propylene-based copolymers. The propylene-based copolymers comprise at least about 50 weight percent (wt %) of units derived from propylene and at least about 8 wt % of units derived from one or more comonomers other than propylene, e.g., ethylene. Particularly preferred propylene copolymers are characterized as having 13C NMR peaks corresponding to a regio-error at about 14.6 and about 15.7 ppm, the peaks of about equal intensity. In one aspect of the invention, fibers are subjected to stress-induced crystallization by subjecting the fiber to tensile elongation during draw.

摘要： Medium modulus molded polyethylene materials with improved impact strength are made. The polyethylene material is molded to pipes, bars, and sheets. The molded material comprises high molecular weight linear polyethylene and a substantially linear ethylene/.alpha.-olefin interpolymer. The material is more than about 0.23 mm thick, has a density in the range of about 0.923 to about 0.95 grams/cubic centimeter (g/cc) and has an excellent impact resistance.

摘要： Hollow molded articles prepared from a molding composition comprising:(A) from 95 to 60 percent by weight, based on the weight of (A) and (B), of an ethylene polymer having a density of 0.955 g/cm.sup.3 or higher, a melt index from 0.3 to 10 g/10 min, a melt index ratio I.sub.21 /I.sub.2 of from 40 to 80, and a polydispersity of from 1.8 to 10, the ethylene polymer being selected from the group consisting of i) high density ethylene homopolymers and ii) high density ethylene copolymers prepared by slurry or gas phase polymerization in the presence of a Ziegler or Phillips catalyst or prepared by polymerization in the presence of a transition metal compound catalyst containing a cyclopentadienyl or cyclopentadienyl derivative moiety; and(B) from 5 to 40 percent by weight, based on the weight of (A) and (B), of a homogeneous linear or substantially linear ethylene interpolymer having a density from 0.85 to 0.93 g/cm.sup.3, a melt index from 0.5 to 5 g/10 min, and a polydispersity of from 1.8 to 2.5 , the ethylene interpolymer being an interpolymer of at least ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin;wherein the composition has a density from 0.94 to 0.962 g/cm.sup.3 ;and a process of manufacturing hollow molded articles by molding such composition are claimed.
