    • A board guide assembly (10) includes a printed wiring board (12) which is maintained at predetermined horizontal and vertical positions by a pair of guide mechanisms (42). The guide mechanism (42) includes a lower guide member (48) having a ramped upper surface to guide the board (12) upwards to the predetermined vertical position and an upper guide member (50) having a downwardly ramped lower surface to guide the board (12) downwardly to the predetermined vertical position between the upper and lower guide members (50, 48) and clamped therebetween. A deformable insert (46) is located between the upper and lower guide members (50, 48) to be inserted within a notch (22, 24) in the board (12). The insert (16) includes tabs (72, 74) extending therefrom on opposite sides and spaced apart along the insert (46) to provide force on the board (12) to position in the predetermined horizontal position.

    • A pointer bushing for securing an indicating element to an output shaft of an indicating instrument includes a base for spacing the pointer above the instrument face, a collar for connecting the base to the indicating element, and an S-shaped shaft gripping section for connecting the base to the output shaft. The output shaft connection includes a pair of posts which depend axially from the base, a reversely bent wing which extends from each arm, and a shaft gripping member forming the end of wing, the gripping members being in confronting relation to form a generally cylindrical, axially extending, radially expansible, socket for gripping the shaft whereby to fixedly hold the output shaft against relative rotative as well as axial movement.

    • The computer terminal controller makes it possible to operate a relatively large number of input-output terminals with a single mainframe computer. The controller has a basic configuration enabling it to control up to sixteen terminals. However, the user easily can increase its capacity by adding one or more expansion modules, each module consisting of a cable connector panel and a printed circuit card. Precise locating pins and support structure and hand-operable fasteners are used to mount the panel so that no tools or special skills are needed. Each circuit card preferably contains sufficient circuitry to handle a specific number of additional input/output terminals, and the panel has the same number of cable connectors. The card and the panel are connected to one another by simply plugging them together. The card is guided accurately into engagement with the panel by card guides. A comb-like cable holder structure is provided with flexible arms forming cable enclosures for holding and guiding the cables neatly and compactly within and into and out of the housing of the controller.

    • A molded one-piece elastomeric anchor member for securing and apertured workpiece to a mating edge of a normally extending panel by means of a fastener. The anchor member has an elongated body comprising a pair of opposed arcuate wall portions defining a central bore for receiving a threaded shank of the fastener. The arcuate wall portions are interrupted by a pair of diametrically opposed living hinge gaps bridged by an arcuate web portion and a wedge-shaped portion, respectively. A cut-out, formed in the panel mating edge, is adapted to receive the anchor member therein. A flange section extends from each juncture of the web portion with the body so as to contact one side of the panel. The wedge-shaped portion defines a pair of cam shoulders adapted to snap outwardly and lock the anchor member in the cut-out after being manually compressed about its living hinges during insertion in the cut-out. Upon the threaded shank being inserted through the workpiece aperture and threaded in the central bore the anchor member is mechanically locked in the panel cut-out while the workpiece is secured to the panel mating edge.
