    • A polyurethane coating composition comprising:(a) a synthetic organic polymer containing at least two hydroxyl groups,(b) a polyisocyanatoisocyanurate having the formula: ##STR1## wherein the R groups may be the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of divalent hydrocarbon radicals having the formulas: ##STR2## and n represents a whole or a fractional number from 1 to 5, and (c) optionally, conventional auxiliary agents selected from the group consisting of solvents, dispersing agents, pigments, fillers, and spreading agents, can be subjected to cold or hot curing, and provides a cured coating composition having good resistance to thermal oxidation, good solvent resistance and good mechanical film properties.

    • An improvement in a process for the preparation of a solvent-free exclusively aqueous dispersion of a thermally linkable, storage stable, light stable polyurethane obtained by the reaction of a hydroxy group containing polyester composition and a diisocyanate in a ketonic solvent at 10.degree.-50.degree. C. employing the hydroxyl containing polyester and diisocyanate in amounts such that there are 1.5-2.0 NCO equivalents per OH group and the reaction product is thereafter reacted with a primary diamine, secondary diamine or diol in such an amount that 30-70% of the existing free NCO groups on said reaction product are reacted and the resultant reaction product is dispersed in water and said ketonic solvent is removed. The invention resides in that one uses as diisocyanate the uretdione of the 3-isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexyl-isocyanate.

    • Aqueous two-component systems based on epoxide resins and diamines, containing water in an amount of 1 to 20 wt. % which are prepared by mixing: (a) as a curing agent, a (cyclo)aliphatic di-primary-diamine having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, in homogeneous solution with 2-40 wt. % water, (b) as an epoxide resin component, (i) a polyglycide compound of a bisphenol, an aliphatic polyol, a polyether polyol, a dicarboxylic acid, or a mixture of these polyglycide compounds and (ii) a polyacrylate of a polyol or a polyether polyol, have a low water content, are cold-curable, yield elastic coatings with good solvent resistance, and may be applied in thick layers and with a high filler content. The systems may be used for coating inorganic and organic materials.
