    • A cassette (10) for photosensitive web material includes a hollow housing (12) having a peripheral wall (16); an exit slit (42) extending through the peripheral wall; a device (20), located within the housing, for rotatably supporting a roll (22, 24) of web material; a mechanism (32, 38), located within the housing, for engaging a lead end (26) of a web material to drive the web material through the exit slit; a knife blade (134, 136) having a cutting edge (138) extended at an acute angle to the exit slit; a recess (132) for slidably mounting the blade for movement between a first position in which the exit slit is open, and a second position in which both the web material has been cut by the cutting edge and the exit slit has been closed by the blade to prevent entry of light into the housing through the exit slit; and a knife bed (142, 144) fixedly mounted on the housing, the blade being in sliding engagement with the knife bed, whereby the blade and the knife bed cooperate to scissor the web material as the blade moves to the second position, thereby cutting the web material and leaving a cut end of the web material inside the housing behind the exit slit closed by the blade.

    • A probe comprising of a probe body, a probe post positioned in the probe body and having a forward end with a forwardly tapering front face and a rearwardly tapering probe post seat. A probe seal is provided within the probe body having a forward end with a rearwardly tapering probe seal opening forward end of the probe seal has a seal face. The forward end is movable rearwardly from a closed position sealingly mating against the probe post seat to close the probe seal opening to an open position in which the probe seal face is spaced from the probe post seat to allow fluid to pass through the probe seal opening and hence through the probe.     • A probe and a valve, which may be used together in a valve assemblage, and a method of using them. The probe has a body and a post having a forward end with a front face and a rearwardly tapering probe post seat. A resilient probe seal has a forward end with a rearwardly tapering probe seal opening, the forward end being movable between an open position and a closed position in which it mates against the probe post seat to close the probe seal opening. The valve has a body with a forward end having a forwardly tapering valve body opening defined by a valve seat. A valve seal in the valve body has a forward end with a forwardly tapering valve seating portion, which is movable between an open position and a closed position in which the seating portion sealingly mates against the valve seat. A resilient means urges the forward end of the valve seal into the closed position. The components are dimensioned so that when the valve and probe are moved toward one another from a disengaged to an engaged position, the probe pushes the forward end of the valve seal from the closed to open position, and the forward end of the valve body pushes the forward end of the probe seal from the closed to open position.
