摘要： Multilayer articles are disclosed which comprise: a substrate layer comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer, thermoset polymer, cellulosic material, glass, or metal, and at least one coating layer thereon, said coating layer comprising at least one stabilizer additive and a thermally stable polymer comprising resorcinol arylate polyester chain members substantially free of anhydride linkages linking at least two mers of the polymer chain, prepared by an interfacial method comprising the steps of: (a) combining at least one resorcinol moiety and at least one catalyst in a mixture of water and at least one organic solvent substantially immiscible with water; and (b) adding to the mixture from (a) at least one dicarboxylic acid dichloride while maintaining the pH between 3 and 8.5 through the presence of an acid acceptor, wherein the total molar amount of acid chloride groups is stoichiometrically deficient relative to the total molar amount of phenolic groups.

摘要： The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising a transparent polymer blend. The polymer blend comprises a first resin and a second resin. The first resin comprises polyarylate structural units of formula I, wherein R1 is independently at each occurrence a C1–C2 alkyl group, or a halogen atom, and p is 0 to 3. The second resin is selected from the group consisting of polycarbonates, polyarylates and copolyestercarbonates. The first resin and the second resin are further characterized by a difference in polyarylate structural unit content, said difference being less than about 40 mole percent.

A system in one embodiment includes a message delivery system that receives a text message intended for a destination, and initiates delivery of the text message to the destination. The system also includes a message notification system that detects that the destination is engaged in an active voice call during the delivery of the text message, identifies information for the text message, converts the text message information into voice data to generate a voice notification, and initiates transmission of the voice notification to the destination to be played during the active voice call.
