    • An automatic device for sorting flat articles comprises a casing with a vertical sorting drum in the center, said drum being provided with posts arranged around the periphery of said drum which are intermittently turned by a drive. Each post has a manipulator sliding freely over said post and having a catch for fixing said manipulator in the uppermost position. The sorting drum is provided with a memory unit with memory cells, each of said cells being made in the form of a group of arms controlled by electromagnets of an actuating mechanism and assembled on a vertical axle under each of said posts, the number of said arms corresponding to the number of flat articles to be sorted and stops, said stops being installed on each sorting position level with said arm which corresponds to the number of the sorted group, each catch being controlled by any one arm of the memory cell of the memory unit, thereby ensuring the distribution of the sorted flat articles in piles around the periphery of said casing in accordance with the parameters of said articles to be sorted.

    • The device or apparatus for assembling banks of battery electrodes comprises a bed which mounts feeders with electrode-containing holders, and the feeders incorporating a mechanism for maintaining automatically the upper level of the electrode pile in the holders. Disposed above the feeders is an assembling mechanism comprising a shaft, one end of which is connected to a drive ensuring its vertical reciprocating motion in alternation with a full revolution around its axis, whereas the other end of the shaft carries radially-mounted grips made with a provision for being disengaged at a certain working stroke of the assembling mechanism by a readjustable kinematic linkage which can disengage part of the grips during the preset working stroke of the assembling mechanism. Also, mounted on the bed between the feeders is a fixed stop ensuring consecutive removal of the grips and a mechanism for unloading the assembled banks, with the mechanism being installed near the feeders and operating after a preset number of working cycles.

    • A method of forming cermet electrodes for alkaline accumulators, includes the step of winding a band stock together with a counterelectrode into a roll, connecting the ends of the band stock and the counterelectrode to the opposite poles of a power source, and forming cermet electrodes by anode and cathode polarization of the band stock in an electrolyte, the band stock being assembled together with the counterelectrode and insulated therefrom.An apparatus for carrying out the method of forming cermet electrodes for alkaline accumulators, according to the invention, comprises an electrolyte bath having disposed therein a spool onto which are simultaneously wound a band stock and a counterelectrode insulated from each other; the width of the spool being 10 to 15% larger than those of the band stock and the counterelectrode, the band stock and the counterelectrode are axially offset relative to each other during winding, and the heads of the spool being insulated from each other and formed with openings for accommodating therein contact terminals.

Located close to the table is a manipulator made as a swivel bar with a holder at a end of which a gripper is provided. Provision is made in the middle portion of the bar for the double-arm lever with the rollers, the lever being kinematically associated with the link of a step-by-step conveyor. The link has a right-angular recess the outside working edge of which is shorter than the inside working edge thereof, thus providing for the link to engage one of the rollers of the double-arm lever in the course of swivelling of the bar.

The device further includes an indicator of travel of the transmitting element (18) constructed as a multirange photorelay (24) acted upon by the blind (21). The wedge (19) has provision for varying the angle of the working surface (20) thereof relative to the counterpressure nozzle (17) for the purpose of adjusting the transmission ratio of the transmitting element (18) and varying the travel of the blind (21) with respect to the photorelay (24).
