    • An X-ray imaging system includes first to third absorption gratings. Initially, the third absorption grating is disposed in a Z axis orthogonal to a detection surface of a FPD, and the position of the third absorption grating is adjusted in θx and θy directions based on a dose of X-rays having passed through the third absorption grating. Then, the first absorption grating is disposed in the Z axis so as to produce a moiré pattern. The position of the first absorption grating is adjusted in the θx and θy directions so that a frequency of the moiré pattern detected by the FPD becomes uniform. Then, the position of the first absorption grating is adjusted in a Z or θz direction so that the FPD loses the detection of the moiré pattern. After that, the second absorption grating is aligned in a like manner as the first absorption grating.

    • The ink jet head ejects ink droplets by exerting an electrostatic force on ink having dispersed charged particles, and includes an insulating ejection substrate having through holes, ejection electrodes, each being arranged in each through hole and ink guides, each passing through each through hole. Each ink guide includes a support part and a tip end part that extends from an end portion of the support part, the tip end part is formed so that a back surface of the tip end part is flush with a back surface of the support part, and the tip end part is thinner than the support part to form a step on a front surface side and is gradually narrowed toward the ink droplet ejection side, and the electrostatic force has at least a component directed toward a tip end of an ink guide along the tip end part. The image recording apparatus includes the ink jet head and records an image on a recording medium.

    • A radiation image detector includes: a photoconductive layer that generates electric charges when irradiated by recording electromagnetic waves which have passed through an electrode layer; and detecting electrodes, for detecting signals corresponding to the electric charges generated in the photoconductive layer. The radiation image detector further includes: dielectrics that cover the edges of the detecting electrodes, the edges being the side surfaces and portions of surfaces continuous with the side surfaces of the detecting electrodes, that face the photoconductive layer; and a charge injection preventing layer, which is a conductor with respect to electric charges of the same polarity as the electric charges accumulated during recording of the image information, and an insulator with respect to electric charges of the opposite polarity from the accumulated electric charges, provided to cover at least the surfaces of the detecting electrodes that face the photoconductive layer which are not covered by the dielectric.

    • Provided is a liquid ejection head for electrostatic ink jet capable of ejecting ink droplets at a low voltage and at high speed. The liquid ejection head includes: an ejection substrate in which ejection openings are formed; ejection electrodes that respectively correspond to the ejection openings; and solution guides that pass through the ejection openings and protrude from the ejection substrate. The solution guides are each a member whose at least tip end portion is made of a composite material containing a resin material and particles of a high-dielectric material dispersed in the resin material.
