    • An organic electroluminescent display device includes organic electroluminescent films, each containing organic electroluminescent materials and sandwiched by a pair of electrodes, each forming a plurality of light-emitting elements above a substrate. Each pixel of the display device is composed of two different colors light-emitting elements, and the chromaticity of each color is controlled by changing the concentration of organic electroluminescent materials or by adding foreign materials thereto. For example, if the chromaticity of the red light-emitting element is set to a value shifted toward green side, various colors including white can be produced by mixing this red with blue of the blue light-emitting element. Then, the organic electroluminescent display device can produce high-quality quasi-color images by mixing two colors of which chromaticity values are properly controlled. By virtue of a two-color structure, the aperture ratio becomes high and the manufacturing process becomes simple.

    • There is provided an organic EL display device comprising: an underlying layer, including at least one layer formed of organic materials, formed on a substrate; organic EL elements formed thereon; and each leading electrode from the organic EL element for an electrical interconnection to an electrode of an interconnection object. In the display device, each connecting region is formed by removing the layers formed of organic materials, of the underlying layer, at a location of a thermocompression bonding for the electrical interconnection. This enables a reliable electrical interconnection between the leading electrode and the electrode of the interconnection object, thereby allowing a good display performance of each organic EL element to be kept.

    • An optical information record carrier (optical disk, conventionally) has multiple reflective surfaces, each carrying separate information and each readable by an optical beam directed from the same side of the record carrier. The top most reflective surface reflects light of a first waveband and passes light of a second waveband. The next top most reflective layer reflects light within at least part of the second waveband. The record carrier is formed by producing a first reflective layer having a first pit pattern in the surface of a transparent substrate, pressing said first substrate/layer combination to a transparent stamper having a second pit pattern, with a radiation hardening liquid resin therebetween, irradiating the resin by applying radiation to said resin through said stamper, peeling off said stamper, applying a second reflective layer to said hardened resin surface opposite the surface in contact with said first reflective layer, and applying a protective layer to said second reflective layer.
