    • A field emission device includes: a first substrate on which a gate electrode line, a cathode line, and an electron emission source are formed; a second substrate disposed to face the first substrate, and on which an anode and a phosphor layer are formed; and a side frame surrounding an area between the first substrate and the second substrate, and forming a sealed internal space, wherein the first substrate and the second substrate respectively comprise a first protrusion part and a second protrusion part that protrude outside the side frame in the same direction, wherein a rear terminal part for applying a voltage to the gate electrode line and the cathode line is formed on the first protrusion part, wherein an anode terminal for applying a voltage to the anode is formed on the second protrusion part.

The display apparatus including: an image receiver receiving an image signal; an image processor processing an image signal received by the image receiver; a display panel displaying an image signal processed by the image processor into an image; a plurality of light guide plates providing light to divided display regions of the display panel, respectively; and a plurality of light sources sequentially disposed along a lateral surface of each of the light guide plates and providing light to the lateral surface of each of the light guide plates, a row of at least part of the plurality of light sources corresponding to the lateral surface of one of the light guide plates being different from a row of at least part of a remaining portion of the plurality of light sources.

    • A field emission type surface light source device and an image display apparatus employing the same. The field emission type surface light source device includes a first substrate and a second substrate that are disposed to face each other; a sealing member that seals the first substrate and the second substrate; first electrodes and second electrodes that are disposed on the first substrate such that the first electrodes cross the second electrodes in an insulated state; electron emitters that are electrically connected to one of the first electrodes and the second electrodes; a phosphor layer that is disposed on one surface of the second substrate; a third electrode that is disposed on one surface of the phosphor layer; and a first terminal and a second terminal that are electrically connected the first electrodes and the second electrodes, respectively, and are disposed on a same side of the first substrate outside of a region sealed by the sealing member.
