    • A method is provided for regulating a charge air pressure of an engine having an exhaust gas supercharger, a fresh gas supply device, an air system having an air treatment system and a compressor chargeable by the supercharger, and an engine controller. The method detects an engine torque requirement; determines a current charge air pressure and a current pressure of the air system; compares the current charge air pressure to a target charge air pressure corresponding to the torque requirement, compares the current air system pressure to a target operating air system pressure, and regulates the charge air pressure by suppressing supply of compressed air from the supercharger to the compressor when the current charge air pressure is less than the corresponding target charge air pressure and the current pressure of the air system is greater than or equal to the target operating pressure of the air system.

    • To regenerate a compressed air supply device of a commercial vehicle, a first compressed air circuit is supplied with compressed air until reaches a predetermined target pressure value; then a second compressed air circuit is supplied. Between these steps, the method: (1) regenerates an air dryer when the pressure in the first compressed air circuit has reached the target pressure value, and when a moisture value of the air dryer exceeds a predetermined target moisture value; (2) terminates the regeneration when the pressure has dropped to a predetermined limit pressure value or the moisture value of the air dryer has reached or dropped below the target moisture value; (3) supplies the first compressed air circuit until it has reached the predetermined target pressure value; and (4) repeats the preceding intermediate steps when the moisture value is greater than the target moisture value.

    • A clutch system for closing and interrupting a force flow includes a clutch actuator that can have a pressure medium applied thereto, a first electrically actuatable valve device and a second electrically actuatable valve device. Pressure medium can be fed into a switching chamber of the clutch actuator by the first valve device for building up pressure, and pressure medium can be discharged again by the second valve device for releasing pressure. The clutch system interrupts or closes the force flow at a pressure P≧Pd in the switching chamber. A method for operating the clutch system for closing and interrupting a force flow prevents a subsequent pressure buildup in the switching chamber sufficient for actuating the clutch system if the first valve device and the second valve device malfunction.
