    • A display control apparatus, with respect to multiple display areas of a display screen of a display apparatus, assigns one display image to one of the display areas by performing a predetermined calculation. The display control apparatus includes a display image managing section storing image information related to the display image, a display area managing section storing area information related to each display area, a mandatory exclusion information storing section storing mandatory exclusion information that defines multiple display image combinations so that the display image is included in each of the display image combinations, and a display image assignment control section. The display image assignment control section, based on the mandatory exclusion information, determines the display image combinations, generates a display image combination list, and assigns the display image to the display area based on the display image combination list.

    • An apparatus disclosed herein includes a shell movably coupled to a base. The shell defines a chamber, and a counterweight is disposed in the chamber. A first spring is coupled to the shell and a first end of the counterweight, and a second spring is coupled to the shell and a second end of the counterweight. The first spring is oriented at a first angle, and the second spring is oriented at a second angle different than the first angle. The example apparatus further includes an actuator coupled to the first spring or the second spring. The actuator is to oscillate the counterweight to enable the shell to provide an acoustic signal.

    • A first semiconductor light emitting device comprises: a transparent substrate; a light emitting layer; and a roughened region. The transparent substrate has a first major surface and a second major surface, and is translucent to light in a first wavelength band. The light emitting layer is selectively provided in a first portion on the first major surface of the transparent substrate and configured to emit light in the first wavelength band. The roughened region is provided in a second portion different from the first portion on the first major surface. A second semiconductor light emitting device comprises: a transparent substrate; a light emitting layer; a first electrode; and at least one groove. The groove is provided on the second major surface of the transparent substrate and is extending from a first side face to a second side face opposing the first side face of the transparent substrate.
